These type of accomplice laws are bullshit, since there’s been numerous cases of (usually Black boys and men) charged with crimes they didn’t personally commit and may not have even known about.

Her work is specialized and NASA is kind of a big deal. No one expects you to stay at a job for 10 years anymore—in fact, they often look down on those who do. Why not, if it is a good offer, take the job with an eye toward getting a more geographically desirable position in a few years?

Tell her to talk to them. I was in management and there were a few employees who were treated special because to be honest, they were special. One moved further away because of family but we worked with him and he stayed with the company for 10+ years after because of that.

Definitely. Aerospace work means she’s going to be in a lot of varied/far flung places, so learning to negotiate for flexible enough hours not to feel isolated is a skill to start polishing.
