An hour of video games doesn't provide the same entertainment value as things like movies. When a new movie I've seen is coming out that I am looking forward to, I am very excited about it, and if it comes close to meeting expectations, the value of that is far higher than hours 118-120 of Call of Duty.

Mass Effect rarely tied story choices into high-level paragon or renegade ratings; it usually tied them to major past choices, and to sidequests. If you skipped a character's side-story, then your neglect might forestall a choice later.

Zombie children are kind of a staple of zombie horror. There's always the scene where a little girl is staggering down the highway alone, still clutching a filthy stuffed animal, and then she turns around and half her face is gone, and the hero has to bash her skull in with a hammer, and that's the point where he

Neither Sony nor Microsoft are top-tier software publishers. Consoles really don't sell on system-exclusive games anymore, except for Nintendo consoles. Sony has God of War and Naughty Dog. Microsoft has Halo. Everything else you want to play is cross-platform.

By the way, just for the hell of it, I am going to put a modest-nature Froakie with the alternate Protean ability on Wonder Trade right now.

If you have cool or nice stuff, there are better ways than Wonder Trade to get other cool or nice stuff in exchange for it. Specifically, the GTS.

A streamlined leveling experience makes a lot of sense for a mature game. MMOs move slower, dole out rewards more sparsely, involve more down-time, and don't tell the sort of complex stories that single-player games offer. What MMOs offer is the multiplayer aspect and the shared world.

I don't think it's fake. It seems like it would take a lot of time and effort to animate a fake video of a bird eating a small animal, which is a thing that happens all the time.

I am personally very interested in hearing parenting tips from someone who has spent ten years working in video game retail.

I guess I need to buy a .50 caliber rifle to protect my home and family from the iPhone 5s.

I find review scores extremely useful, and here's why:

If someone can firmly say "no" and get up and walk out of the room without reasonably expecting to be forced or otherwise met with violence, I just don't see how it's rape.

There are lots of reasons why a woman who doesn't want to have sex might have sex with a man, especially in the context of marriage.

This sounds like a flawed survey question, designed to reinforce a hypothesis that the culture is permissive of rape. Even if a high percentage of these men were rapists, if you asked them a question that they understood was related to rape, they'd lie about it.

It really seems like people don't understand the implications of a marriage in a comic book.

This is a ridiculous controversy.

Sony has Naughty Dog and God of War. Microsoft has Halo and Gears of War, but neither Bungie nor Epic are developing those franchises any more.

The bizarre thing about Nintendo in the console space is that, if it put out a console that could run uncompromised versions of XBONE/PS4 multiplatform games, supported by a decent online component, it would be the default choice of many gamers because its first party exclusives would be better than anyone else's.

Decades of continuity ask a lot of the readers and the writers, in addition to being nonsensical if you try to look at them as long-form narrative.

How do you learn and make contacts when you're shut in a closet doing bug-testing for nine hours a day?
