I agree. He went for this false equivalency one too many times since then. The show just wasn't what it used to be. I noticed he had stopped doing it as of late, but by then the show just wasn't as good anymore.

When Stewart took his sabbatical to go make Rosewater, I remember thinking "He's done at The Daily Show. He'll be there another year, tops." It was obvious he was getting restless, and I'm glad he's stepping down before it has a negative effect on the show. Leave while you're still great.
