But seriously. I don’t understand the point of taking all of the fun out of life just to have to endure a longer life without fun. What’s the point? I am genuinely baffled.

*takes a drag off cancer stick*
I think Jon Snow dies, Melissandra brings him back. Since he died, he is free of his oath to the Night Watch and free to go help in the north.
Marge Gunderson, introduced to the world 20 years ago in Joel and Ethan Coen’s Fargo, is one of the great characters…
So he’s beloved by all the celebrities I look at and think “Damn, they’ve had shitty, heavy-handed, unnatural looking work done!”
The last thing I want when I’m depressed and don’t want to go anywhere is for someone to come into MY space with soup and company, no matter how delicious the soup or how charming the company. When I want to be alone, that’s just what I want: aloneness.
Yeah, DaVinci would like a word.
I mean, they’re all basically just re-dos of The Last Supper.
Just like how women always carry the burden of fixing sexism and the patriarchy. We never seem to learn as a society - at least, not fast enough.
I would say on a scale of 1-Insidious, it is about a 3. IMHO it doesn’t rely on jump scares so much as disturbing imagery and inter-character tension. And when I say disturbing imagery I don’t mean gore, I mean like true flu dream nightmare fuel. There is a bit of blood but its not egregious and it makes sense with…
Yeah. Not too many jump scares, which are not my thing either. Conventional horror audiences hated it, which I consider an endorsement.
RJ at first seems rather angry at this film, but it’s not clear why. He also seems pissed that the Salem trials expert is a pleasant person, apparently expertise in the field demands a dour demeanor. However, he does soften a bit at the end, even if we still have a hint that anybody who lived before 1900 should have…
I saw it lastnight and thoroughly enjoyed it. I found the religious fanaticism that the parents displayed just as foreboding as the witch angle, but that probably has a lot to do with me being raised in a strict southern baptist household.
It’s great. I would go if you like Bergman or The Shining. It’s more about psychology than “scary” stuff.
Gretchen Mol finally justified herself on Boardwalk Empire. Good lord, did she ever do a good job playing the Worst Mother Ever.
Here’s the thing, journalists could actually do their damn job and fact check republicans when they make claims that there is no precedent that a president in his last year in office gets to nominate a supreme court candidate, instead of asking the question like it’s a legitimate idea. I am sick and tired of…
My husband posited that there really isn’t a woman of any age who wouldn't go out with Liam Neeson, so the age thing is moot.
SAUVAGE. I have a personal theory that the JD Sauvage commercial and Matthew McConaghey’s Lincoln commercials are secretly confessions about killing hookers and burying them in the desert.
“Keep over low flame, season to taste.”
There hasn't been a good movie since FITZCARRALDO!
