You are not being paid to write. Big difference.

UK variation: 'Bless his cotton socks'

So, better-looking Kardashians with decent people for parents. Nah, still not interested.

I find it depressing that we women all hate to be judged by our appearance (vis-à-vis the beauty myth), and yet half the comments here are variations of 'she's beautiful'. And she's a kid. Bleurgh.

Welcome to Jezebel - the blog that started out being fun, witty, supportive and encouraging of women (especially young women) but has become a depressing bitchfest!

He is, isn't he?! My mum had one of the original orange and white penguin books that my sister and I absolutely LOVED; we looked at it so much it fell apart. Subverted from a very young age. Thanks, Ma!

If someone gets me out of the greys, you'll be able to see this one; another goody ;)

Being from the UK, Eloise is not a character I'm familiar with - she sounds cool, though. Is it worth reading as an adult? The illustrations remind me of Ronald Searle's for the St. Trinian's books I grew up with... they definitely influenced me. I never thought about getting a tattoo of something like this, though -

Try Weruva - it's human-grade chicken, with all the added nutrients needed for a cat. No grains and no horrible smell (smells like cooked chicken.)

These are good, but I think Lindy's Bandersnatch Cummerbund still takes some beating.

"I stood up for age"

Sorry. Me too. :(

Thought I'd pop over to Cosmo to see how our Burt is getting on there - holy hell; is a frontal lobotomy a prerequisite for the job?!

I'm sorry you had to write a whole piece about this non-event.

Over two years and counting. See you back here in 2018.

Back atcha

Hmmmm... I'm old enough, I was there (and a HUGE Nirvana/Soundgarden fan), but I think it's false to say that. The Sex Pistols were probably the biggest thing since The Beatles, if your criteria is how much impact a band had on popular culture and music; Nirvana, the biggest thing since then.
