with a recent 3.4 earthquake in the Bay Area, how about a write up on preparing for the big one? :)

anyone have any issues with this on vista? I tried to replicate the same setup I've had working for months on XP machines, but keep getting "proxy server is refusing connections" on my new Vista laptop. Any "gotchas" on Vista with this?

Or just grab a smaller jeweler's loupe, toss it on a keychain and go. It's a little trickier depending on your phone form factor, but let's you manually focus and get some great shots.

While some of us have rolled out own email to "blog" sites, Wordpress has actually had a pretty decent mobile-blog plugin called Postie. It's not perfect, but I've been using it for a year or two now. The best thing is it will take attached images and thumbnail and insert them in the post for you. A great way to

And use a useful, on-topic, unique subject to avoid the manual deletes. I run several websites and get tons of email and spam. Subjects like "hello" "hi" "your website" etc. get mass deleted if I don't recognize the email or name.

I'm also getting the resize problems. Can't add anything to my current design until it'll fit in the sidebar nice and neatly. :(

How to move to San Francisco. (if you could get this posted in the next two weeks or so, that would work out great for me!)

I've lost a few points over the years for not answering the 2nd

Perfect! This will help trim down some of my steadily growing IMAP accounts. Thanks. :)

I wasn't able to talk myself out of setting up a blog, and actually just registered www.myhighmetabolism.com to track

First off, IMHO that's a silly restriction and puts a cramp on internet research when your worried about exceeded you're allotted transfer amount. One torrent of a larger Linux ISO and you're done in a day. But anyways..

dafont rocks! Always my first (and last) stop when trying to find a new font for something.

on my sidekicks (BW,CSK,II,3) I have almost always kept them on vibrate. If it's in my pocket i feel it. If I set it down, it's usually on a hard surface and you can hear it rattle. I think I have changed my ringtone twice in 2 years. I think it's currently, "Dude phone's ringing.... thank you Donnie" from the Big

I guess I use a kind of zero-based budget now. With a cross-country move planned and about 4 months to save from scratch for it, I had to do something. So a custom spreadsheet with entries allocating all my money and then dumping the rest into savings is what I've been going off of. After years and years of no

As I plan a domestic trip with a large amount of luggage (tent, camping equipment, etc), anyone know if this weight limit applies to all airlines, and if so, what's the scale of fees for going over the limit?

While looking for a cheap solution for my widescreen laptop, I discovered that a FedEx box was the perfect size. So I ended up with this. After some time the fan did fall off since it wasn't secured so well, so now I just have the box. It actually works well as a little bit of cushion when I toss my laptop into a
