IIRC the screening is set for June 6th.

Kind of dude who insists on being allowed at women's only gyms.

If I had a nickel for every time I've made someone say 'Wait, Tyler Durden was the bad guy?!?!?!?' while discussing Fight Club I'd have…several nickels.

One screening 4 days after the premiere date no less. I think that little detail takes this man tantrum from depressing to actually kind of hlarious (but still depressing)

One of my favourite sections of Chuck Palahniuk's Survivor - which is, for the record, better than Fight Club - is when the protagonist is removed from the public eye and starts going through fame withdrawal. I think about that chapter a lot these days…

Indeed. The streaming service in Canada that's airing this has a good portion of both the Showtime and HBO back catalogues - lots of docs and old comedy specials on the HBO side, pretty much everything on the Showtime side as far as I can tell - and I'm more than willing to pay 8$/month for continued access to that.

Corporations are people though (apparently)

Cutting Crew just sound like the all purpose 80s band that would fit in at any point in the decade to me.

It's always nice when someone uses a bully's own tricks against them.

I feel like this was our punishment for hating James so much.

And yet the reason I love that song is I could use some time alone

Fun fact: Reindeer Games was one of three big movies to have shot in my city way up in northern British Columbia. The other two? Double Jeopardy and Dreamcatcher.

First Pirates movie came out in either 2001 or 2002 (would probably go with the former)

Oedipus Schmoedipus is his best album imo but I haven't been disappointed with any of his albums so far.

"I Want Your Love" did all of the things for me back in '07.

But Bobby is fucking gorgeous - like I said in another recent TP thread he's my second biggest mancrush of all time - while James is not. Though he definitely looked better in hs scene here than in the original run of the show.

I actually think it would be interesting to see how this plays for a complete neophyte provided they don't turn the TV off in confusion after twenty minutes. Kinda like the people who saw FWWM without the series and interpreted it as being about who killed Theresa Banks…

Not gon' lie, I was way happier to see James than I thought I would be. Then again I was basically happy to see everyone so there's a chance I'm still lost in the haze of giddy excitement that comes with it happening again…

Only if you watch them on your fucking iPhone.
