I haven't read comics in a while although I bought myself the first Showcase volume of the Legion of Superheroes for Christmas last year. I'm not aware of Trump being President in comics or on TV but that doesn't mean much. Lex Luthor was President at one point so anything's possible. I'd forgotten about Glorious

I just looked it up. It was in season 7 episode 13. Pete hadn't been part of the series for a while and he returned in an episode titled "Heroes" as a roadie for OneRepublic http://smallville.wikia.com… BTW, Stride gum was a fairly new product at the time, introduced in January, 2008 and the episode aired in March of

I never had any problem viewing them as friends but I just never got into him. At one point they turned Pete into a jerk, had him running with the wrong crowd and expecting Clark to bail him out. He at least had something like personality at that point. There was another episode where he started chewing kryptonite

Yeah, I couldn't tell if Cat was fantasizing or if she was serious about having had sex with Clark/seen him without glasses. Another part of me thought she might be aware of how uncomfortable it makes Kara and was saying it to get a response.

It could definitely be cool. Someone connected Rick Malvern to the first time Kara used her powers so it's possible. For argument's sake let's say Daxamites grow their children artificially at an accelerated rate so a few seasons down the road an 8 year old Daxamite/human hybrid who's superstrong shows up on Earth

I'd much rather have Chloe than their version of Pete Ross. Granted, he was never that interesting in the comics, at least not while I was still reading them, but Smallville's Pete Ross was a real dud.

I'd call it less rhyme than word association but it still works IMHO and I thought it was clever.

J'onn was in fact green during the sequence when he, Kid Flash, and Cisco caught Music Meister. That happened outside the dream sequence.

Not if she were half Latina on her mom's side.

"Alex was clearly, unambiguously straight"? It's not totally unheard of for people to be gay and not realize it. Most gays know at or before age 12 but not all. Since heterosexuality is the norm, most of us assume someone is straight unless something causes us to think otherwise. Alex said she had dated guys but

Yeah, that's why Baskin Robbins makes more than one flavor. My wife isn't into hip hop but she also doesn't like Supergirl. OTOH, she's a fan of Supernatural, which is a show that I just never got into. Not saying it's a bad show, I just never got hooked on it the way she is.

You had me right up to "the steadily improving Agents of Shield". I respectfully disagree. My wife likes Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. but to me this season was a mess that gave me no idea where it was going and the show has become virtually unwatchable.

It isn't the character's fault Kara and James haven't shared much time. Blame the writers. For whatever reason they didn't know what to do with James. He could have been elevated in his position as Cat's replacement but he wasn't. Instead, the writers focused on his relationship with Winn and even that turned him into

I could see maybe Maggie being in on the secret and acting as a sort of informal liaison between the Police and the DEO and most of the cops still being out of the loop. But even worse, the DEO didn't know about the Alien Dive Bar™? An agency tasked with tracking aliens was completely clueless?

And continuing when Alex brought Maggie to the DEO for, of all things, first aid?! None of the police cars had a first aid kit? There are no EMTs in National City? No hospitals?

More like a woman with ridges on her nose will make writers forget all about a woman… Seriously, I think they just forget to follow up on stuff. They just seem to be making it up as they go. To me, it's pretty clear there's no series Bible to keep things on track.

I don't watch Major Crimes but yeah, definitely a trope. Best to just roll with it.

More important than who? The show is about Supergirl and the people in her life. Compared to Kara they're all several notches above furniture. Everyone else—Alex, James, J'onn, Winn, whoever—is a supporting character. You can say you like Alex better but that doesn't mean she's "more important."

Less Maggie doesn't automatically mean less Alex. It just means more time for someone or something. If Alex is being defined by whatever relationship she's in at the moment she's an underserved character anyway. We saw a whole lot more of Alex than of James this season and I'd like to see that corrected. Kara will

Yes, AFAIK, it's essentially supposed to be L.A.
