There could be a place for James if they had some idea of what to do with the CatCo side of things. He's part of that world but they don't seem to be doing much with it. Plus, how is he supposed to run CatCo if he can't keep Snapper in his place? Snapper needs a serious beat down to remind him of who the boss is.

If you already know something, how much more verification do you need? If you're the cop who made the arrest, you know the facts of the case. Same with Supergirl. We haven't seen the "inserting her opinions" thing for a while so that's a non-issue unless she does it again and we can see it happen. Snapper doesn't know

She's a terrible reporter who is improving. That's the main thing.

There's some ambiguity too. Remember that L-Corp makes an alien detector "because people need to know." It seems to be a purely business decision.

I get that the whistle blower had to die but why couldn't Kara have saved him? She has super speed and she could have shielded him with her body. Of course, she'd have some 'splainin' to do, especially if he saw the front of her sweater burned away but still…
As for Clark being killed, they've done that several times.

Absolutely. I know a guy who is a great cook and baker.

Well, Mon-El was pretty much universally a good guy in the comics and they turned him into a douche for the first half of the season. I mean, I really hope they don't make Lena evil but canon doesn't seem to mean much to these guys.

The focus has always been on this being an ensemble show, even though Kara is at the center. Not every character can have a huge role in every episode. Imagine if M'gann were still around, the screen time would be even more diluted. That was my original objection to her and Mon-El, and I was right.

Yeah, this is the Mon-El we've been waiting for most of the season.

I have friends who don't know each other. People are part of different circles. Plus, wasn't Game Night kinda a work thing until James invited Lucy?

Amen. Lena doesn't need to be evil just because her name is Luthor. She can be morally ambiguous like Max Lord, she can have an agenda (who doesn't?) but she doesn't need to be evil. The whole Super and Luthor as friends thing is just so cool. Don't spoil it.

Journalism is about finding out the truth. Kara has been in a position to already know the truth but of course she can't tell Snapper. In his eyes, her not digging for the truth she already knows makes her lazy and a poor excuse for a journalist. Snapper, OTOH, only knows what's right in front of him. For example, a

I'm not. The show needs to be more than Superman in a skirt. It's bad enough that they have Jimmy (excuse me, James) Olsen, Bizarro, a Luthor, and—last season—one of the Lane sisters. Supergirl needs her own identity and this isn't the way to achieve it.

Sounds like a hashtag: #savemissteschmacher ;-) Seriously, that's one of the problems with a bloated cast, you don't see enough of some potentially interesting characters like Eve or Snapper Carr or Agent Vasquez at the DEO. Unfortunately, the only time those third-tier characters get any significant screen time is if

I honestly hadn't noticed so I'll take your word for it.

Frankly I think we've seen the last of Cat Grant. Flockhart has no intention of filming in Vancouver. We saw her in two episodes at the beginning of the season and I think that's probably it. Remember, they promised "original songs" for the musical crossover and there was only one original song, which wasn't that

I don't watch The Flash but the Arrow Wiki says Eve also appeared on that show earlier this season: http://arrow.wikia.com/wiki…
We may not have seen the last of CatCo though. The producers keep telling us how important Kara's reporting career is even though they never show her being any good at it. Then again, these

First, it's spelled "Teschmacher." Not easy, I know. Second, we haven't seen Eve outside CatCo, unlike James, so she has no external existence. If CatCo goes, she's probably history unless Lena finds out about her assistant being a CADMUS mole and hires her as a replacement.

I was just remembering a scene from Lois and Clark when she opened his refrigerator and it practically exploded junk food. The super-metabolism thing was mentioned a few times on the show.

Yeah, it should have been something more like "Hey, why does he have a picture of me?"
