Lena doesn't need to know Kara's secret for Kara to work for her. Lena was the one who urged Kara to be a "citizen journalist" and she could feel partly responsible. For that matter, they're friends and friends help each other. It wouldn't take much for Lena to hire Kara for LCorp's PR department. Plus, Lena clearly

You know, that's a good idea. I mean, there has to be more going on than just him being the prince, unless the writing is even worse than it seems. Kara did say the prince was the worst of the Daxamites so maybe there's something to that as well unless it was her prejudice talking.

If they wanted to stick with the deportation angle, there could have been an alien ship on its way and Supergirl would have had to find a way to stop it, maybe keep it from landing. Of course, then we wouldn't get the whole Kara-and-Alex-gazing-into-each-other's-eyes-through-the-window scene but there are other ways

Probably not but it wouldn't be that hard. Trouble is they'd need to make a serious commitment: Establish writing guidelines. Set up a timeline/continuity and enforce it. Hire a Jr. High Science teacher as a consultant to help with basic plausibility. Hire a Jr. High English Lit teacher as a consultant to help with

For What It's Worth

FWIW, I don't watch The Flash—or any of the other shows—other than during the crossover but I'll take your word for it.

Sorry I didn't "get it." The connection wasn't apparent. BTW, the reviewer isn't the only one to comment on James being sidelined. OTOH, a guest star who's appeared in what, one episode? isn't exactly "sidelined" if she doesn't appear for a while. Besides which, does anyone know the President is an alien?

Neither would I. Obvious seems to be the standard.

Again, the solution, as it is to most problems with the show, is better writing. DON'T abandon her "civilian life," write about it. Pay attention to it. I've said numerous times, every episode needs to have a Supergirl story, a Kara story, and a supporting character (James, Winn, Alex, J'onn, etc.) story.

There are a number of ways she could have gotten the story out without Kara losing her job. My only guess is that they wanted her fired for story purposes and invented a reason.

Back before we had THE BIG REVEAL I wondered if he might not have been the bodyguard but turned coward and left the real prince to die. I was really hoping they wouldn't go in such a totally obvious direction. Maybe there's still a twist of some kind.

Earlier in the season Kara said the prince was the worst of Daxam. From there, who knows?

No they didn't. I'm already getting tired of correcting this and I've only done it twice. Snapper was speaking hypothetically, as in one misattributed quote COULD result in some fascist guy becoming President. For cryin' out loud, please pay attention.

I'm not sure what it has to do with James but I posted about the President being an alien somewhere else in this thread. If she's not second generation then she's not a natural born citizen and that means she can't be President. If anyone finds out she could be impeached. That would be an interesting story.

Yeah, that was really badly handled. I guess they have reasons, maybe a plot arc, that involves her not working for CatCo. Maybe Lena will hire her, maybe the DEO will finally start paying her since J'onn treats her like an employee anyway. Maybe they got tired of trying to write the CatCo stuff and all those

Sorry but the "ship push scene" was simply awful. First, CADMUS wouldn't waste a fricking starship that way and second getting in front of a spaceship and pushing is a terrible way to keep it from taking off. As myself and others have suggested, push down to keep it in the atmosphere or use heat vision to disable the

I wouldn't either but if Kara no longer works for CatCo, none of the CatCo characters have a reason to exist. James just isn't doing enough as Guardian to justify keeping him around. Maybe have him return to Metropolis and just have Snapper disappear like Lucy Lane and Max Lord.

Nobody called President Marsdin a fascist. Snapper was speaking hypothetically, as in a misattributed quote COULD cause a fascist guy to be elected president. The fact that he referred to the hypothetical president as a "guy" should have tipped you off. Sorry about that.

In the comics Mon-El (Lar Gand) had amnesia when he arrived on Earth and Superboy named him Mon-El. They could have done something similar this time around, maybe have Kara say something like, "I'm going to call you Mon-El. On Krypton it means 'brother of the heart.'" Him regaining his memory and her finding out he

She could be any number of things. Nobody seems to remember that CatCo is a media company, not just a newspaper. Put her on TV. Give her a camera guy and a van and send her out as an on-the-scene reporter. There was a guy in the comics named Morgan Edge who took over the Daily Planet and made Clark and Lois news
