I'm confused - didn't Jay/Zoom's hat appear in the season 1 finale (could have sworn I saw it in one of the previouslies) but in this episode, we learn that the hat was never the real Jay's?

Pleasantly surprised by this review and the overall reaction to the episode by viewers, kudos AVC.
