Microwaves: ruining friendships once again!

Nah, that's one of the reasons I liked the Chikoritas, too: they were just happy/beautiful. And I had an attachment to grass starters as the ideal thanks to Bulbasaur in the first generation.

I don't think Ray really ruined it for her, though. I think he meant to tell Desi to think long and hard about things, and be honest, and not just go swimming around when he got scared. I think the point was going to be that Desi shouldn't marry Marnie if he felt so unsure. But Desi didn't let him finish.

Oh crap. You just described my MIL.

But he wasn't playing the "Fred" character, he was playing Doug, who's already been established over the course of a few seasons as a "well-meaning sad sack" slacker, whiner, etc.

"This is a neighborhood with an intimidating cat."

I also have a crush on her, and…damn, this episode was quite the gift.

I really hope they do at some point. It's been established that Xiomara and Rogelio are both talented singers and that Petra's a violinist, and I hope they make use of all these talents to their fullest extent.

For me it has to be the big "West Covina" number from the pilot. Though both of the songs from this episode are up there, too. And "I Have Friends."

Yeah, I think they were combining "south" and "southeast" into one category.

Interesting. A co-worker (we're both female, but she's several decades older) did this to me about a month ago, and it's kind of been gnawing at me ever since. She rubs me the wrong way on a daily basis, but her anger (and it did come off as anger) about a factual report of my mood really threw me. Interesting to

Yeah, those of us from Cleveland…are something. Not sure what. Never seen this show. But our characteristics are quite definitive!

It was the episode that made me love it, too: my favorite part is Tina and Louise getting all the other neighborhood kids together to pull the toilet in the wagon on their various bicycles.

I love Marge…Lisa's probably my favorite Simpsons character, but I also really adore Marge.

The Annie raising money thing was season 2, but the depression over not being imprisoned and protesting the model UN were both season 3, when they were sort-of highlighting her ridiculousness more.

She's based on his exes? That's really uncomfortable.

"We'll see you all after Ree-eee-gion-alllls"

THANK YOU. Honestly, that the whole thrust of this comment thread is focused on clothing versus how fucked-up it is that beating one's spouse gets a lesser penalty than marijuana possession is completely warped.

That is one of the most fucked-up things I have ever heard. I would not have been able to keep a straight face if I were in your ex's place.

I'm thinking the Lich Baby might be a Big Problem later on…
