Ugh, I hate that feeling of always being in demand, and now the older generations are getting into it too: my gen-X former boss would always text me at the most inconvenient times (like when I was driving) and then freak out when I didn't immediately answer. And just yesterday my (Boomer) mom did the same thing. I do

I went through this phase, and it DID involve listening to my parents' (specifically my dad's) CDs. For me it was never a exclusive thing, I was mixing music from the 60s, 70s, 90s, and 00s (plus the Baroque and Classical periods) and some of all of it was good.

For me, a spoiler here and there not only won't ruin the plot of something, it's also a good way to prevent myself from being triggered. Reading the plots of stuff on the Internet doesn't affect me in the same way seeing really disturbing shit onscreen would, and allows me to determine what I can handle. Also, the

All the girls on Orphan Black are clones
Harry Potter is a wizard
Anna Karenina kills herself

Oh yeah, that too. Danke.

Eh, he's always traveling around doing Savage Live Q&As, working on new books, or contributing material to various documentaries, NPR shows, etc. And sometimes appearing on TV. I'm not saying it's the hardest job, but it's definitely more than one day a week.

Yeah, it's pretty interesting. I wonder if it's just going to stay in as a one-off line, or if it'll come up again as a plot point/cause of tension with Allison. (If the latter, that could go so badly in so many ways…hmm.)

Yeah, that's another possible theory, and you're right, it doesn't really matter (as I said), I just find the whole topic interesting to think about. I don't really care if I ever get answers.

I said it doesn't matter. Also, we literally know she became sexually active as a teenager. I was just theorizing.

If I had to guess, I'd say the father of the aborted pregnancy was Vic, not that it matters. Makes sense for the emotional reaction, though, since we know what an ass Vic was and what a bad place Sarah was in when they were together.

I've always enjoyed writing, and so I would often use The Sims games as a sort of character staging-ground to mess with their interpersonal dynamics and see what new ideas I could generate, either before or during the process of writing a story. The emotions can be easy enough for me, but this lets me imagine stuff

In the original version (which I played during the early days of high school), I once put a rocket launcher in one of the bedrooms (not knowing it would start fires, which wad dumb of me) before placing a phone or fire alarm. And you can't use shop mode during a fire. So one of my nutcase Sims decides to set off

I like the idea of an Arcade Fire musical, but I don't think all of their music could be combined into one story. The first EP and Funeral could combine well together. Neon Bible has so much going on that it could probably stand on its own, but it could also fit in with some of Reflektor's songs. And….I'm not sure The

I love the idea of a Tori Amos musical. I'd really want "Pink and Glitter" to be part of it: that song just seems to BELONG in a musical.

Ah, so he's Peter Houghton from Jodi Picoult's Nineteen Minutes

You may be right…and those things about Smash and Riggins are definitely true. But that Junkyard dogs line didn't come out of nowhere, and it was…uncomfortable.

Agree. Also, while I think Mac made "a mistake," in his mind, that mistake was saying what he was thinking. And maybe he's rethinking things. But I don't believe for a second that the cops believe THEY made a mistake, they're just mad that they couldn't get away with what they tried to do. And they're not

Well, what is it then?

Agreed, everything else was a nice blend of bizarre and informative (if you're a kid). The bacteria part was great, as was the Mozart. But the final dance number didn't really work well. It could've been taken out in order to give more space to any of the points on the food chain.

Same here. (I went to a good high school, but got terrible teachers for both bio and chem, and while my physics teacher was better, she wasn't good enough to make a dry subject interesting. Not that physics has to be dry, but our book certainly was.)
