If people didn't behave as people, things would undoubtedly be better. That will NEVER happen, not in a few thousands years for sure.

"Stop crying that you are owed anything from a time you and the rest of us didn't live."

Is that what he did? The quote said he didn't like her as much now. Does the fact that an older white British man doesn't like Beyonce as much when she embraces her black womanhood in art really mean he's an asshole? Or just that it's not exactly unexpected and maybe it just means he doesn't like her (by which I

I'm not sure what problem you have with that (maybe you don't really have a problem with it). Does it not make sense that Piers Morgan would like Beyonce better when she was acting less black? Or is it the implication that he is telling her to act less black, and that's the problem?

The music did change.

Yeah, how dare those three men be black and get killed without first pointing out that the REAL problem is black on black violence!

That is almost a non-sequitur response, since I never even mentioned racism.

Also, I'm curious about this:

" I also know enough about Beyonce's life to know she hasn't struggled, known economic injustice, or had to deal with being a second class citizen in the way many black women have."

It's not good. This article is WAY better than the album deserves, IMO.

This album and its visuals are pretentious as hell, no doubt about it. The images are laughably controlled in a fashion-ad way, and the music is flawlessly performed while being simultaneously incredibly dull and interesting in the moment without leaving any sort of mark (at least on me). To me, they HIDE emotion,

I liked this article, and the other, but "only" two? That's more than they write about ANY other album. Plus, it's actually 3 (at least).

At least this is a thinkpiece written about an experience the vast majority of AV Club commenters really have no clue about. Always good to learn something new.

Yeah, I truly don't get the outrage over any of the primary stuff. The parties could just designate someone if they felt like it.

Didn't know that. Makes it slightly more palatable.

All those things, which sadly take away from the frequently interesting writing.

I've never watched Tim & Eric, but is that the Eric? Holy crap, I had no idea that guy as a real actor. I thought it was a buddy of Aziz. He is so godawfully bad on the show.

I thought this would be a cover of the Fifth Harmony torture device hit.

"I'm not a gamer, I only play Candy Crush, Angry Birds, Words with friends, Wii Tennis and sometimes NBA2K with my kids."

Wii seems to have been the console of choice to be exclusively used as a board game replacement.
