I don't think the comparison makes sense anyway.

If he thinks there's enough material for 3 or 4 more movies, I trust him. He's not usually one for padding things just for the sake of length, and he's brought something new to everything he's done.

Those go directly Netflix now, per the article. So McCarthy is safe, for now.

And the Jimmyfallonization of media continues. Even concerts have to "go viral" now to be meaningful.

She was a size 2-6 in current sizing. She had a 23" waist.

Jurassic World was fantastic too. So there's that.

I'm sure it will. They want to take our monthly 150 or so entertainment dollars in the end. It's just a matter of who gets it.

I actually really enjoyed the first one and look forward to the sequel(s).

"all the quirkiness, and dude, this movie is hella quirky, seems to have
little purpose besides distracting us from the tale of Joy Mangano and
her Miracle Mop"

When did you have cable last? I can't get away with less than $60 for meaningful programming (and even calling it that is a stretch).

It's getting to be competitive out there. Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu, the bargain bin at Big Lots… a veritable feast of shitty movies I don't care about, all for the taking!

GnR have played "Whole lotta Rosie" for a couple of decades, so that probably helps.

" It's hard to buy twelve to fifteen years of hard work, regret and disappointment from women who could pass for high-schoolers."

I liked The Big Short for what it was trying to do, and I found it entertaining, well done and informative. But it wasn't a great movie, and I think you're right that a documentary would've been a better way to go. Still, I think the anger and disgust I felt walking out was worth a pretty good grade.

Went and saw Midnight Special, which was very good (much better than "Take Shelter" IMO). I miss the days when a movie like this would've been a reasonably popular blockbuster - scifi, fairly big name actors, suspense, it has the ingredients for it. One of the better movies so far this year.

Haha that was perfect.

Are you sure it's not the "Captain America Marathon" where they show all three movies? They are doing that on May 5th.

Never heard of it either. For a product with virtually unlimited supply, albeit not at the exact same time, it seems odd.

Fox should start a video game robot fighting league where they pit the NFL mascot robots against each other.

What does the $35 include? That seems incredibly expensive for an ordinary screening.
