Spl is shot beautifully. I like all his work…His modern stuff like Ip Man, Dragon tiger gate and Flashpoint are good..
Im a big fan of throwback Martal arts though..His 'Once upon a time in China' series with Jet li is some of his best work.

Yep

Nobody disputes that..But you made my point…Yes the first half of season 1 was awful but it has had 3 and half seasons since that has been better than all the other shows including parts of the Netflix series..IMO.

This show got unfair and slightly inaccurate reviews….
Aos gets the most unfounded criticism i have seen any show get, its annoying but if you are watching any of the Cw shows or even the netflix shows and try to place AoS as lower than them than that is on you and your missing out.
It does its fair share of

All we know about Danny;s training…''It was, what it was''

There should have been amusing scenarios of Danny practicing his powers in the boardroom and making shit happen..
I actually liked that Arrogance in Danny in the first few episodes it was a change at least to how the other Defenders act….But Arrogance without being able to back it up….

If they had made this clear from the beginning People may have been more forgiving….It took til episode 8 to realize infact Danny has no clue about the one thing he has been claiming to have a clue about.

Which is why most people can agree that there is alot to be optimistic about with a different showrunner, more time and new writers…and Finn Jonns needs to have put in some serious work between when this ended and he began The Defenders.

They started to go wrong when they had her fall for Danny so soon…Its sweet but it is ridiculous. They never should have stopped her cage fighting storyline..Should have had her Kill or Paralyze someone by mistake.

AoS has the longest stretch of coherent excellent comic book story i have seen…Don't think they have had a 'bad' episode since season 1..
I must check out Legion though.

Why didn't the writers think this through?

That was a big problem…Danny only fights 3 people this season who are distinct from everyone else however on the Surface Daredevil looks like he can beat them all. Nobu is a far more powerful villain than anything we saw on this.

AOS.

It was just such a bad plan all round..Yeah lets hold Gao in the Dojo that everyone knows where it is an they just walk or break in. Then the further bad plan of getting 'truth serum'…

Maybe Danny really is a schizophrenic and should have stayed in the 2nd episode.

They were stuck in the worst and most boring storylines….yet somehow brought life to Cardboard.

I remember watching the Plane scenes and thinking ''shit, even Claire can't save this'',

Because the fight was the best one yet and Danny got his ass whupped it blinded people to the fact that Finn Jonns looked especially bad in that scene and the actual usage of the Drunken Fist style by Lewis Tan was shit.

That's not too bad..That was his first massive feature that reached America and it was with Jet Li even thought they had worked together before.

I thought that was one of his better scenes..Most of his Jeri scenes were decent. I liked when he waved to her during his press conference…and she just death starred him,
