I *was* an SNPP commentator back in the day.  And the "Those guys were nerds" comment is right on the money.  You couldn't get online at all back then unless you were a huge nerd to begin with.  It's not like today with your fancy pants "web browsers" and "smart phones" and "waffle irons".

have you ever done any creative endeavors?  i'm a musician and when i'm writing and things are going really well, that's exactly what it feels like… you're just transcribing something being dictated to you by a higher power/your muse/whatever you want to call it.
