What's the difference between "Threes" scoring and "2048" scoring? Because my 2048 score is 125,136, if that's comprable.

"wanker" is the one that annoys me the most

you're thinking of "God Help The Girl"

also, the earth is thawing. those kids got frozen a number of years ago (i want to say eight?). the whole point is that the world is still a frozen wasteland, but now it's a habitable frozen wasteland, as evidenced by the polar bear.

the court scene involves waltz' character cross-examining himself and challenging his wife to a paint off (which he then repeatedly attempts to get out of)

Also: the way they decided to cleave the narrative was absolutely awful. Why on earth would you start your movie halfway through the big battle scene with the main villain? I don't remember why that dwarf was injured, Mr Jackson! I don't know what's going on!

Even if you HAVE to make three movies from The Hobbit because you're on a contract and dealing with studio mandate, there's really no excuse to make them all three hours long. If Peter Jackson had decided to make three ninety minute movies both he and we would have been much better for it.

They seem intent on just padding the whole thing out without any logic or sense to it. Both of the major Orcs have at least three "death - fakeout - death" sequences, and there's a scene near the end where gandalf spends the better part of a minute fucking around trying to light his pipe. There was just a lot of crap

OH. ok yeah i haven't watched that show. i thought i was seriously misremembering guardians of the galaxy.

when did he wake up in a pool naked?

In my head Krypton is Earth at the end of the universe and Superman is just a baby powered by future technology sent back in time in a desperate attempt to push mankind forward enough that future earth can deal with entropy and stars exploding and stuff.

yes!! yes he did

i just want to play one game that isn't embarrassing trash :~(

i'm not sure that's true. i expect the games i consume to be intelligent and thoughtful. far cry as a series seemingly has aspirations above simple pointless shooting - the last game could certainly be read as an attempted analysis of colonialist power fantasies, for one. either way, i think it's important to talk

i find batman pretty uncomfortable generally tbh. "serious" batman stories are very much predicated on the reader buying into the idea that the world is some kind of disgusting hellhole which can only be solved by violence.

1984 was only ever a guess at best. we never know definitively if the year actually is 1984 - everyone's lost track of history anyway.

the PS4's online multiplayer service is subscription-based as well, if you're making the switch for that reason alone

I actually just watched this last night and I feel the exact opposite way.

every boss fight in the game??? [hint though - go do side quests until you're at least three levels above the mission recommendation and you'll be fine]

i immediately figured it would be like having a game set in 18th century england voiced entirely by americans, yeah. just because you speak the same language doesn't mean you have the same accent.
