Delivering a high five.

Did, uh, somebody say my name?

Don't you fucking talk about the Lamb that way.

Man, can your closet really fit all these clown shoes?

I am glad I am not the only one who remembers this.

"It's the Soul Mass Transit System!"

I just shit my pants.

Wait a minute. That's just a Smash Mouth song with different lyrics.

Seriously.

Absolutely, @battybrain:disqus.

I don't have XM, but one of the local stations (shoutout to XRT) air his syndicated show of the same name on Sunday nights and man, can he curate a playlist.

I'd go so far to say as the best superhero series in a non-comic medium.

It's so juvenile but the World's First Two Gay Guys, and the way it's cut up so that every twenty minutes you get Will Ferrell doing his Harry Carey voice screaming in agonizing pain will never not be funny to me.

Holy shit. I watched Wild Guitar with some friends years back, and while nobody seems to remember any actual details, the mere mention of Wild Guitar will typically send somebody into a drunken "ho-oh-oh!"

So, anyone else's town have a Thai restaurant called I Am Siam?

I rediscovered The Barbaras last week, a little-remembered but well-connected garage pop band from Memphis. Turns out they released a compilation a couple years ago that blew right by me called 2006-2008, and it has an interesting history if anyone remembers/cares about Jay Reatard or the garage rock scene in general.

You know, I can totally see the merit of having someone as talented as Wright drop out of another Marvel movie, but knowing how much time he's invested into this idea (I'm pretty sure it predates Iron Man) is kind of heartbreaking.

Oh, also, because I forgot contribute anything last week: I cannot stand XKCD.

And while I'm at it: the Beach Boys, film title sequences, the DCAU and how it's a near-perfect representation of DC as a shared universe, Stella, and Steve Erickson (specifically Zeroville).

Color me amazed if there are more than a few people who are into the garage rock scene and aren't into the totally fucking arbitrary 'we're weird, maaaaan' image that goes along with it.
