I will admit though as much as I liked this episode, a part of me wishes the folks behind this episode would have treated it much like the folks at Agent Of Shield treated Simmons transferring to the alien planet she was sent to in the 4,722 Hours episode. The way that episode did a great job in bringing the viewer

Judging this episode feels weird to me, because honestly how am I supposed to judge it? As an adaption of one of my favorite Alan Moore/Superman stories of all time? As another in a good line of not amazing, but well directed, well done episodes of a show I like?

Despite my opinion on him, I am honestly really looking forward to seeing Kanye West as next week's musical guest. Looking back at his past SNL stints he has frequently brought his A game with his performances and I honestly consider his 2010 performance to be damn near legendary.

When I saw it I remember thinking "The writers have to have a good reason to bring back this sketch from last year, granted it wasn't bad last year or anything like that, just one note and forgettable so why are they bringing it back?"

After seeing Jay Pharoah's JB Smoove impression, I truly hope he stays on the show for as long as he can.

I think I am one of the few folks here that actually did like The 1975's performance, at least the first performance that is. Yeah sure they really remind me of INXS, but they seem to be at least taking the good parts of that influence and putting good energy into their songs. I mean I can't be the only person who

I can't think of a better example of poetic justice than getting the former writer from SNL, a writer who could barely ever get his sketch ideas on the show and the story of how he quit/got fired inspired an episode of Seinfeld, to come back and deliver one of the best episodes of the season. If that's not telling

That line alone as well as the look on Johnny's face, in my opinion makes him officially the most gangsta Sherlock Holmes in existence.

Well given that the DC TV folks have usually been told to ignore the happenings of the DCEU if that world is referenced I expect to be a very ambiguous line in regards to the Flash traveling in through a multiverse, but still one has to wonder.

The show, at least the first season, would make smallish references to things from Superman lore, for example in the episode were Felicity guest stars for the first time as she is heading back to Star city Barry cracks a line about how trains are the safest way to travel, a line that Superman had made about planes in

Does anyone find it interesting the fact this crossover is coming out 3 days after Batman V Superman?

The thing I find really interesting about all of this is the fact that Grant Gustin is such an unabashed massive lover of Superman and everything connected to him.

Oh definitely. Apokolips now was a game changer episode if ever I saw one. The thing that really made Superman the Animated series so great was how they could appeal to multiple eras of Superman and rarley feel out of place. I mean really it's amazing how the same show that gave us a great depiction of Darkseid and

Oh wow I wasn't aware of the extent of the their comic history thanks for clarifying.

Oh most definitely.

There's something about seeing real life couples playing dramatically ironic versions of themselves
that kind of sticks with me.

Honestly I think them tying Bizarros origin with Max was another example to the show paying homage to Superman the Animated series which had a pretty similar origin with its Bizarro and Lex Luthor. Personally I don't mind seeing as how I always found Superman the Animated series to be pretty underrated compared to

Ana Gasteyer is perfect casting as principal McGee. Considering her history in Broadway as well her amazing tenure on Saturday Night Live, I can't think of a better person to capture the comically sternness of Principal McGee.

Overall I really had a fun time watching Grease live. Admittedly the cast and crew must have been in a bit of a bind in their attempt to combine the Broadway play with the film.

But to be honest as hard as I was on Winn, I have to be honest a part of my reaction towards him might stem from the fact that recently I realized (despite many years of denial) I still have some unresolved romantic feelings for an old crush from my middle school days, ten years ago.
