21 Jump Street (and 22 Jump Street has a strong case for being the best comedy sequel of the century) strikes me as the list's biggest omission.

Was revived as a Black Lantern in Blackest Night

Having Gillian Anderson as Media talk through Gillian Anderson as Scully is the right sort of meta

    There should have been.

Yeah, that's just not really built on at all.

Other point I forgot to mention, the Secret Wars Civil War mini from Charles Soule and Lenil Francis Yu was one which I enjoyed a lot. Mostly because it goes all out with the metaphor and turns Civil War directly into a western story with the country split between a technocratic section controlled by Iron Man and an

Something that Oliver gets at, which isn't talked about all that much now is how exciting Civil War was at the time. For as much as it falls apart when looked at now, at the time (and before Millar had used up all of his capital on his recurring shtick) it was the biggest thing in comics for a long time.

Charlize Theron watched her mother shoot her drunken father dead (who was threatening to kill both of them) when she was 15.

This was what the Titanic ride was like.

Fox Studios tried to run their first theme park in Sydney. It closed in 2001/2002ish.

Meltzer won't do official star ratings for the NXT Takeover matches until this week's Observer newsletter comes out. He did call it the best women's match in WWE history on Observer radio tonight though.

Comixology is selling Omega for 99c an issue at the moment if you read digital comics.

Fair enough chance of a big all in one collection, though I wouldn't expect it for a while. The series starts with Volume 1: Welcome to Lovecraft and there's six volumes all up (plus a couple special issues which are unconnected to the main story and will probably be collected in a separate volume eventually.)

Great write-up Oliver. Your piece reflects a lot of my thoughts on the end of Locke and Key. I was actually going to wait on the collection, but then Comixology was selling the whole series for half-price (with the exception of Alpha 2) and I couldn't resist.
