Check out the behind the scenes video on the making of the dance scene. At the 8:30 mark of the video, at the very end…

Wha'ssat?

Ugh, and I edited that comment to add that after doubting myself, too. Total nerd failure. But then, my only exposure to Hawkgirl has been the Injustice game.

I had to listen to Cavanagh's reading of "what that man does" three times to confirm they didn't just name-drop Batman. Hell, I almost thought Felicity said "I'm a Hawkgirl" instead of "hawker", and is that even DC? I can't tell if the crossover just had me primed for A-grade geekery or if I reeeeally need to get my

"Miss me?" probably wasn't the best line to give to Selina Kyle. Unless the actual goal was to prompt a loud, immediate "No. Not at all." which I may or may not have instinctively said to my screen at 5am.

It's probably just because I've seen both the original pilot and the aired version, but I can't think of a better example of a re-write clearly improving a show immediately. Watching the two endings side by side, it isn't even close.

I absolutely love these episodes. I prefer the first one, but I was dying to see Rafi again and couldn't be happier to have him back. My favourite part was Rafi being alarmed by JDR's flawed notions of how to perform a lobotomy, except for an "anal lobotomy" which got an immediate intrigued "I'm listening", completely

You should definitely check out The Fall. It's a very quick watch, so very low commitment, and with a second season in the works, it's a good time to get on board.

I have never loved Gillian Anderson more after hearing about her insane schedule to fit in the filming of these scenes. And that's coming from a guy who was a teen during X-Files and has since seen her become only more and more beautiful and talented, later seeing her “Man fucks woman. Subject: man; verb: fucks;

But not in a bad way, I'd say. The score WAS the reveal to me. I had the same reaction as everyone who may not have picked it, combined with an additional "Oh fuck yeah, damn right it's Helena~!" when they did pan up.

Did anyone else freak out about Helena's reappearance before the actual reveal, based on the score alone? The shot of stumbling feet, then that distorted, screeching, almost Reznor-esque bit of Helena's theme, I immediately knew it was Helena and giddily popped for it. Really, in the space of one quick, easily

I read the initial comment as "Bryan Fuller is gay, so it makes sense that he is as sensitive towards these issues as we all should be", not "Bryan Fuller is gay, and it's his job as a gay person to be sensitive to this. Certainly isn't something I should bother with. I expect gay people to always deal with this stuff

Shirley may have suffered this season (and pointing it out that you're aware of it doesn't make it any better, show), but Chang made just as much of a comeback as the show itself. The interrogation with them using a take where his sunglasses accidentally flew off his head, trying to take off a face mask that he wasn't

While it was almost necessary to end on a bad joke and group laugh to fit the concept, I wish they had gone further into Jeff's real crisis and depression. Maybe because I wasn't laughing as much as I normally do, more appreciating than being amused, I was banking on a more heavy dramatic punch.

I don't think I'm going to look that up. I'm gonna be fine remaining uncultured on this one.

Oh good, so I'm not the only one that immediately thought of "The Cell". If anything, it was a little too similar for my liking, as fitting as it was…

The similarities to Tarsem's "The Cell" were purely coincidental? Really? Wow, I am surprised. And also horrified that two independent people could have that same grotesque thought.

Ah, there we go. Thank you. I'd already found them all, but I was just clicking the regular links. The "walkthrough" link in the first paragraph links to nothing in particular, and fixing that and searching for it is equally fruitless. Nonetheless, got it now, cheers.

Please include links to the previous walkthroughs. I am probably an idiot, but I just spent a stupid amount of time trying to get the AVClub and Google engines to spit out links to the previous three entries.

Been my big problem with Laurel for weeks. Just the worst writing of alcoholism or addiction ever. It's insultingly bad, and I actually lay about a third of the blame on the actress.
