"He would be there all night, and he would be there when Jem waked up in the morning."

I love the book, and had read it many times before I saw the movie.
My only quibble was in the casting. Gregory Peck is great, but I had always pictured Atticus Finch as a more homely-looking man. Scout describes him as "big," but I never thought of him as handsome. I liked better the idea that Atticus' strength was

Great film, but the soundtrack is really annoying.
One of my favorite things is the film doesn't use any technology beyond what was current in about 1948 (when the book was written) and everything is battered and rusty, as though progress just stopped when The Party took over.
But then, you have to listen to Eurhythmics

Jenna Jameson in To Drill a Mocking Hard!

I liked this movie a lot. For me, a horror film is good as long as it's believeable while it's happening. Yes, there are problems with the logic of the story, but as long as they don't bother me while I'm watching the movie, then I'm fine with it.

How are we pronouncing "A$AP?" Is the dollar sign silent?

We need to recall the Ford Pinto. It's a death trap.
Hey! My father died in a Ford Pinto!

It b—
It bom—-
Sorry, my keyboard won't let me type it.

Gee whiz! It's so great to read these letters about how my father brought the word of Jesus to all his men in Vietnam! By the way, what does "fragged" mean?

Great, fun, popcorn-eatin' movie. I only had two snarks:

To properly honor this musical legend, the funeral service will be four hours long and performed in the round.

SNAPE KILLS DUMBLEDORE!!!

Chuck Yeager in "The Right Stuff" got me interested in Beeman's gum. Pretty sure it wasn't a paid promotion, and it's darn good gum.

The nerd gets the girl! This is the greatest movie of all time!!

One of the reasons I enjoy the AV club is the quality of its writing. Good journalism doesn't always require good writing, but when the two are combined, it's a pleasure.
Because I want the AV club to continue producing well-written articles, I feel the need to point out that there are quite a few clumsy sentences in

He wrote the Coke ad.

Rewatching after the series finale, I loved the bird-dog in the hunting scene when Ken gets shot. Ken, lying prone on the ground, and the retriever bounding over to him happily like, "You got him, you got him! Here he is guys! Can I retrieve him for you?"

I refuse to Snopes that video of the baby deer and the bunny rabbit who are best friends. If it's fake, I don't want to know.

Why did the inhabitants of Skull Island build a giant wall to keep Kong out, then put a Kong-sized door in it?

SPOILER: This was not a boat accident!
