Fox has a token liberal on some of their shows. Every writer here seems to have the identical political leaning. It's so boring.

I've been reading AV club since it started 20+ years ago. And ever since the mass exodus to the Dissolve, it's been on a downhill slope.

Thank you. My point, but more eloquently stated.

Look at you bragging that you don't read newspapers. What an embarrassment. I'll bet you didn't vote either, did you? No wonder Trump won.

No. Like most adults I read newspapers. I don't rely on AV Club to deliver on news, which apparently you do. If you come here for news you should get off your high horse (and not vote, please).

I would. But once again, my distaste for political one sidedness is being confused for Trump support. I hate Trump and I hate that what used to be my favorite pop culture site has become completely fixated on him.

True. I have been mostly holding my tongue, but I'm cracking. This website used to be great. I learned so much about music, movies, books. Now it's a gaggle of writers with a political axe to grind. I'm just bemoaning what I see as a great loss.

Why does a pop culture site need to obsess on him though? Jesus, how about something besides this crap?

Can the AV Club go 5 minutes without pandering to the anti-Trump contingency? 20 Writers all with an identical point of view. AV club makes Fox News seem balanced.

Bull. No more than it's ever been. AV club is pandering. This is blatant clickbait. Whiney, whiney clickbait.

AM I THE ONLY ONE SICK OF THE AV CLUB BECOMING THE TRUMP WEBSITE????

I first became aware of Sharon Jones when she and her band backed Phish for a one off performance of Exile on Main Street about 10 years ago. It was glorious and when I saw she was in tears near the end I fell in love.

Not to be glib, but last I checked people die and other shitty things happen every year. This "fuck 2016" meme is truly annoying and takes away from any true heartfelt sentiment about a great performer like Jones. It's a transparent bid for likes. Anyone who "likes" a meme that doesn't at least have an original spin

Your coffee tastes like ass.

But I'm in your kitchen RIGHT NOW

I won't take the bait other than to observe that your favorite band, whoever that might be, doesn't love you enough to learn and play a one off set of Bowie covers (wedged between two sets of originals) with a mini orchestra and backing singers. They'll most likely play the same predictable 90 minutes they've been

So you guys cover this without so much as a mention that Phish covered the entire Ziggy Stardust album this past Halloween with a mini string orchestra. And it was terrific. And then they played a third set of their own music capping off a 4+ hour show. You don't have to like Phish to consider that newsworthy, IMO.

Yup. And Frank better than Winchester.

Not to mention, how the hell did Trapper John and Frank Burns get involved?
