Eesh, I think the only songs she improved were They Love Each Other, Music Never Stopped, Loose Lucy, and the outros to Scarlet and Estimated. But I agree that Wharf Rat improved with age.

Good stuff. Thanks both for the tip.

I'm intrigued by that Scar>Fire. 79-80 is such a weird, transitory and sometimes wonderful era. Off to Archive.org!

Skull Fuck!

But asking questions is your *job* dude! But I kid. My comment was more a reflection of my love for Zappa than a criticism. I can't even describe my wife's job. Anyway, I frickin' love your podcast. Keep up the great work.

*an orchestra up in heaven plays "Sofo No. 1"*

Me too! That's why it occurred to me immediately. I remember hearing that terrible news like it was yesterday.

You got that right (though to be fair, I can't think of another version of Wharf Rat on an *official* Dead release, as opposed to say, Dick's Picks or something).

Hell yes.

Marty Hart. HART IS ANOTHER WORD FOR DEER.

Well, I've never been known for my taste, but I found that trailer kind of funny. That being said, I'm not expecting a masterpiece here.

It's hard to argue that she's been unfairly typecast here: she co-wrote the screenplay and produced.

Yeah, too bad he was so tight lipped. It seems the less famous the actor, the more flattered they are by the Random Roles feature, and the more excited they are to tell stories. Goodman seemed like he had a plane to catch.

Well sheesh, I didn't mean to suggest that. It's just that most things I do for fun don't involve that much effort. But I could be doing it wrong.

Seriously, imagine if all that effort went into during something productive? Or at least lucrative?

Jeezus, Rob Schneider jokes. Hasn't this poor guy suffered enough? Why don't we pick on something a little more resilient, like puppies or butterflies.

What's weirder: Richard Pryor sans mustache or Burt Reynolds sans mustache?

Yeah, and we made a little deal. How else can you explain his fame?

I'll show myself out. *slinks through door*

re: "Louise is married to the guy who played Mr. Willis in 'The Jeffersons'."
Nope, sorry, pretty sure that's not true. I actually used to go to school with Willis's son. No relation to Ginger that I was aware of, and no evidence of this on IMDB.
