I'm guessing Ava called Raylan … or Limehouse. Can't think of another option.

I haven't read through all the comments yet, but it seems to me that Boyd has been wounded - possibly in gunfire exchanges with Raylan or Bob or from shrapnel from Zach's suicide vest. Either way, it seems to me that he's walking on his last legs here.

Help! What did Ava drop on the ground - or what was lying on the ground at the time of her arrest?

Boyd killed Carl, who had come to kill him - in theory so that Markham and Boon wouldn't kill his brother, Earl. It's the whole "honor among thieves" myth being put into play. ;)
Still gotta admire Boyd for being able to play so effectively while being injured. There aren't any NFLers who are tough like that!

Didn't Markham come to Harlan from Colorado? Did he make his money there?

Motivational speaker: My name is Wynn and I live in a van down by the river. Make that a Wynnabago down by the river!

911 Operator: What's your emergency?
Wynn Duffy: I don't know where to start.

Raylan taking out Boon in a street duel would certainly be satisfying. But that would be very predictable - almost contrived. According to the IMDB - the Boon character is around in the finale (hopefully this isn't a spoiler). I'm sure he gets taken out … but by whom and how will probably be quite ironic!

Continued from a post made last week - Boyd has made a remarkable recovery from that gunshot wound to the left shoulder! No infection - no threat of amputation - no signs of heavy medication! That little Harlan hospital is the cumberland equivalent of Johns Hopkins! ;)

The writers and producers are to be commended! Too many shows go on way pass the point of being relevant just to keep their cash cow alive. The timing is perfect here! I can see me re-watching the series from the beginning on an annual basis!

Love your name and icon! I miss Duck Man and Frank Zappa!

When in Atlanta - visit the "big chicken" Kentucky Fried Chicken franchise in Marietta!

And yet, I can't wait for this character to get his bullet! Hopefully in his balls - "so blue they're purple".

I love the show! Probably in my all time top 5 (Twilight Zone, Andy Griffith, Justified …).
But I had (and have) a hard time with the logic of Mikey (er, Michael) notifying Katherine of Wynn's involvement in her husbands death (and being the overall cockroach/rat) - and then deciding to get in the way when she came to

Raylan broke the news of someones passing harshly on a couple of occasions in this episode.

How's this for an ending proposal:

There has to be an allowance for a certain amount of poetic license here. Depicting depositions, trials, hearings and all that jazz realistically would add too much to the timeline. It's a little like watching a magician or a science fiction movie loaded with special effects. To enjoy this at the most appreciable

"preantepenultimate" - how many points is that in Scrabble?

Yeah, that makes more sense. Plus, didn't she shoot Boyd BEFORE Raylan walked into the scene?
So, no - I don't think that Ava shooting Boyd was part of any plan. Please absolve me for even agreeing with that idea! ;)

Anti-heroes - BAD guys in a movie that you are drawn into pulling FOR! ;)
Yeah, Ava … Boyd - pretty much every character on this show (including Raylan?) probably belong in jail.
The FX Network specializes in these types of shows. As viewers, we loved those cops in The Shield. But if cops like this were working in
