If it's any consolation, she's pretty much universally reviled here these days, even among Republicans and former supporters. Most people only hear about Palin when she's making big waves in the news, but we have to hear about every little thing the Palin family does, whether it's failed reality tv shows, failed

The problem in Alaska is that the federal government owns 80% of the land here. So the idea that Alaska gets all this entitlement money while contributing little in taxes is true, but it's a bit more complicated than that. Alaska is also HUGE (around 3x the size of Texas), way bigger than most people realize or

She was governor here for a little over 2 years before quitting, and in that time she managed to fuck up things we're still fixing 7 years later. Putting someone so flippant and incompetent in charge of the VA would be a slap in the face to every veteran in this country.

Probably the best example of heavy moderation being beneficial on reddit (in my opinion) is r/askscience. They remove any comments that do not contribute to the discussion OR are not well-cited enough to be reliable. It can be frustrating, but it means the answers given are generally pretty accurate and informative.

In the original scene, she escapes and steals a car, and the very last scene is her cresting a hill and realizing that Chicago, which should be in the distance, has been destroyed by something, confirming everything he had claimed. No aliens, no overt "OMG LOOK AT WHAT IT IS YOU GUYS," no spoon-feeding anything to the

I was banned from r/the_donald because someone posted a long litany of "proof" that Hillary had Parkinsons and I had the audacity to suggest that OP probably got his medical degree from Trump University. No regrets.

If you subscribe to the main subreddits, then yeah, The_Donald has made them pretty ugly. But if you subscribe to the real specific stuff, it's pretty rare you find anything too out of the ordinary relating to politics. There aren't a lot of us using r/hotpeppers and r/sewing to vent our political beliefs.

Yeah, the original title was The Cellar and had nothing to do with aliens. Leave it to JJ Abrams to take a good concept and fuck it up with his nonsense.

And then JJ Abrams will come and shit all over the last 10 minutes with his alien nonsense.

I'd still rather eat that entire thing raw than hear Guy Fieri say the word "mouthfeel" out loud.

I think the most depressing thing about this is that apparently this is what passes for humor nowadays.

I think this show is really great at writing jokes and really shitty at writing stories.

Here in Texas, a more predominant one is Calvin praying to a cross.

Then I would need to leave as I have clearly found myself in the most boring conversation imaginable.

Oh, I have no doubt it was, but literally the only time I ever hear anything racist or assholish come out of his mouth is when watching football. It's like a Jekyll and Hyde if Jekyll lived in rural east Texas.

Mine was just called "By the Airport."

Don't forget the outline of any animal skull

I am partial to "hot garbage" myself, but I pretty much instantly want to punch anyone who says "epic fail" (or epic anything, for that matter).

Yeah, it's unfortunate, because outside of that he's a pretty good guy. But he turns into a real asshole when he watches sports, so I just leave the room whenever that happens.
