When the Defenders get together, Luke will have been romantically involved with three female members. Is anybody going to complain about his agency taken away, or him being reduced to a love interest?
I doubt it. It's a different rule for dudes I guess.

I loved those two other goons being all "badass" and ignoring the execution…and then slowly realizing that it was taking way too long.

I know he was in the opening credits, but beyond that I got no memory.

Luke, Matt, and Danny in a "Who's the father?" storyline.

I don't want to pre-judge where they're going to go storywise; but I do not see Simone Missick and Loras Tyrell as soul mates.

Especially since Pop is apparently Reva's uncle or something. It's best for Luke not to go into too much detail about her death and Jessica's involvement.

Moviegoers were too busy talking about the raccoon.

Wait until Freeform/Family Channel/Whatever airs its Cloak and Dagger series. Then you'll see some real parental neglect!

Joss Whedon created these SHIELD characters, and even he didn't want them puttering around in the background of the Helicarrier deck in Age of Ultron. There's no way any of the other Marvel directors is going to go out of their way to use them.

Kanye never heard of "the show must go on"?
How unprofessional.

I don't generally believe that all antagonists have to be set up in advance, but I do agree with you here. A brief flashback somewhere in the first six episodes would have made a considerable difference in introducing Diamondback.

Marc Antony says he's coming to bury Caesar, not to praise him; but ten minutes later he has the mob screaming for bloody vengeance. Did that make any sense?
Mariah appropriated the rage the public felt at the cops, and effectively redirected it at Luke Cage. That's what canny politicians do. (Angry about losing your

No. There was another Bushmaster in the Serpent Society. He had the head and arms of a human, but the body of a giant snake. (I doubt we'll see him in Luke Cage season 2.)

I disagree!
Daredevil Season 2 had the biggest second half decline. (And by "second half", I mean everything after episode 3.:)

The contrast is necessary. We can't have the same villain over and over again. Diamondback's baroque lunacy needs to be different from Mariah and Stokes' more nuanced evil.

All of the hoods in these Netflix shows are made of tough stuff. They take a licking and keep getting back up again. Look at that hallway fight in Daredevil. Look at all the abuse Frank Castle took, and he's not enhanced.
Just assume Diamondback is a resilient dude. So was Luke, even before his powers.

Zimmerman would have appreciated Claire's pro-vigilante speech a few episodes ago. Somebody has to have the guts to go out and protect their neighborhood….um..right?

Is it? Or do we just assume that because the cast is almost entirely African American?

It was summertime in episode 1. Leaves were falling in Jackie Robinson park in episode 5. Now it's snowing in Georgia in this episode.

Different Cottonmouth, different Diamondback. These are just gangster nicknames. The other Cottonmouth and Diamondback (a chick) from Captain America's Serpent Society have actual snake based powers and costumes.
