I don't want to slam to hard on their point here, but I'd concur that even the first few lines of Blues From Down Here alone ( "from the deeeepths…") groove harder than anything on TKOL.

I think Dear Science is their definitive masterpiece. The two albums that follow that are both very good, but like you said, just don't feel as meaningful. I think they both suffer a bit from being stuck in roughly the same midtempo for their entire length. A few songs like 'Wolf Like Me', 'Blues From Down Here', 'Red…
I hate the art in this series. Steve McNiven has gotten better, the brief run he had on Bendis' GotG series looked pretty good, but when he did this he couldn't draw a face to save his life.
The thing that annoys me most is that the author's name is written in all lowercase. Why would you do that?
Well, with the whole disappearing act from the internet a week ago I can see where he's coming from, but I don't really get that vibe from it myself. Though it wouldn't really surprise me if it turned out to be true. I'd like to see them go on forever, but that isn't going to happen and this would be a great record to…
Agreed. Beyond the first five songs, In Rainbows never really clicked with me until I put it on when I tried (and succeeded) to get tickets to their shows a while ago, but when it did, it did so in a huge way. Reckoner, Jigsaw and Videotape are some of my favorite songs by them now.
That sounds apt, yes. In Rainbows feels like a spring record to me, whereas this sounds more winter-y, I guess.
I'm not sure yet. It feels a little bit more… distant, maybe? There's nothing for me on it that rivals the loveliness of Reckoner, but there are definetly moments that come close.
I hadn't heard of True Love Waits until the leaked tracklist so I only listened to the acoustic version twice before i listened to the record. (Ducks away too) I think both versions are great, but the AMSP version takes the cake for me for now.
Holy shit, True Love Waits only just started on the stream I'm listening to, but it's breathtaking. Absolutely gorgeous.
I'm loving it so far. It'll obviously take a few listens to really sink in, but it sounds great. Ful Stop, Identikit and Present Tense are my favorites so far.
Unless there is any evidence that the people in the Parallax Corporation don't dislike Radiohead, I'd say this might as well be true.
Judging by all the weird dream/hallucination/premonition/who the fuck even cares sequences in BvS I'd say Warner Brothers already know they have that and are probably using it as the inspiration for the Justice League film.
I think I slightly prefer this, but beyond a very basic outline of the premise I wouldn't say they've got a lot you can compare between them.
It really isn't. Snowpierer had a linear plot and a sense of forward momentum, this doesn't. I love both of these films, but they're very different beasts.
Well, I actually really, really loved it when I binged it over the weekend it first came out, but I'm pretty sure a rewatch with a little less hype behind it will bring some of the flaws more to the front.
With all the breaks, it amounted to 15 hours where I watched it, so that's probably the correct time.
Can't wait to read it. There are many negatives to mainland Europe, but getting nearly every Marvel movie a good week before the US of A (except Guardians of the Galaxy, which we got two weeks after you guys) is not of them.
As a Dutch man, thanks a lot.
I'm definitely more in line with Caroline's take on the series, but I can't fault a well-written review. Though the grade seems a bit excessive. I wouldn't rate any episode this season lower than a C+ personally.
