I don't watch Fox News. I watch the BBC if anything. I'm not from America. Thanks for proving my point, you parochial nitwit.

Targs aren't immune to fire. Dany's resurrection was a special event.

Does the show feel pretty lifeless to anyone else right now? For some reason — maybe their arbitrary deadline, maybe because they've decided their audience have suddenly turned into idiots — the writers have over-simplified the story to a purely functional skeleton. Nothing is fleshed out. There's barely any

Except Myrcella was recast, so: no.

I think it kinda is the actor's fault. It seems to me like he's trying to be comical. He doesn't come across as brutal and threatening. The short stature and squeaky voice doesn't help either. It's a casting problem too.

Presumably you-know-who will return to King's Landing shortly, and presumably Varys will do the thing.

I don't recall this being a theme in the books at all, though.

Yeah, to be fair to professional writers, spellcheckers are extremely expensive pieces of software.

Yes, it is a medieval society. That is the setting of this fantasy.

Earth is not America. If you live in Syria the chances of a beheading right now are actually pretty high.

Totally agree on the lack of suspense in The North. There simply aren't enough supporting characters there to make you care. It feels as if there are about five people in Winterfell. In the books there was a great feeling of presence, with the Manderlys and Freys and so on. Cutting those two factions out has been a

Have you read the books..? There's very little left for Arya to do.

I really don't care for the serialised elements. Ya know it's a neverending process, right — it never gets "resolved"? Each story arc they wrap up will lead to new arcs and new questions. If those narrative-heavy episodes are good then sure let's see them, but there's no rush. I just want them to give us some strong

    It was okay.

Definitely agree with your main point there about the setting really letting the episode down more than anything else. It could have been so easily assimilated into Ooo by explaining it was in "Water Park Kingdom", or making it some kind of pre-apocalyptic remnant. But no… it was just some fully functioning modern

I really don't understand how "inessential" is being used in this context. Most episodes are self-contained, so presumably you're not talking about that. And there are plenty worse episodes than these two, so presumably you don't just mean "bad", either. I guess what you really mean is "inconsequential", in the sense

Yeah I noticed that too, very odd. I think I recall Finn and Jake in particular having altered deliveries. Maybe it's a purely psychological effect due to the incongruous animation style. Or maybe the dialogue was different enough to effect a change in the voice actors.

I like my episodes to have a nice plot, but on their own terms. I think you were really referring to long-term "story arcs", in which case I agree, I've always been ambivalent.

I thought it was pretty funny. Like Finn using his omnicoin in the lockers for absolutely no reason and the convoluted argument he had with Jake about it. Or Jake morphing his wrist into a functioning watch.
For me it's the recent regular episodes that have been lacking in jokes. I find that really sad because the

Right, the reason we haven't heard about that stuff in a while is because of the constant stream of guest episodes…
Your comment is just incoherent, sorry.
