In college I did a lot reading on the My Lai Massacre for a paper. This was one of the worst weeks of my life. I can't say a Vietnam War themed popcorn monster movie is something I've ever felt a need for.

Right. An actress calls a misogynistic bro-com misogynistic and then a bunch of unnamed sources come out of the woodwork saying she's a bitch on set and she's called a "drama queen" for the same kind of candid talk that would be respected from a male actor.
Don't most white Americans grow up hearing that hey had a Cherokee great great great great grandmother or whatever, because that's about the extent of Elizabeth Warren's status as a Native woman. My family says it too. I remember in middle school the teacher asked if anyone had Native ancestry and just about every…
Because they aren't Real Men™ and we all know that's the real problem with Trump.
"I certainly would never presume to play another race of a person."
None of the visuals in BvS or Man of Steel stand out in my memory as being all that pretty or even interesting. He did his best visual work in 300 and Watchmen most likely because he was able to show his cinematographer and effects people comic panels and say "Exactly like that".
As I remember it the main problem with DK64 was the tedious nature of switching characters to collect things. There often wasn't much else to the level design or challenge other than "See something you can only do on one Kong. Switch to that Kong and hit a switch. Repeat".
Yeah, it's Stephen King playing out his fantasy of having a black friend who's so down with how not-racist he is that the black friend pretends to be a racist stereotype. It's weird.
I understand the Crash backlash but come on, how do people hate The Artist so much.
Arrival had an unusually centralized point of view. It felt like a good 2/3rds of it was close-ups on Amy Adams' face as you take in everything that's happening through her reactions. I don't think it would have worked had she not given a great performance.
You could criticize her performance for being overly mannered maybe but playing herself? Did we see the same movie?
A Clockwork Orange is a lot of things but thoughtful isn't one of them.
This movie was dogshit and Aubrey Plaza's schtick is overrated.
That's domestic only. In total gross Shrek 2 is 8th.
Well, the creators insist that it was written for multiple seasons and that they wrote a huge document of backstory and world building that the first season only touched on, but who cares lol.
Yeah I'm not sure what people are on about when they say how totally concluded the first season was. Not only is Eleven a complete question mark, but Will's eventual fate is uncertain.
A sexistly subversive dark comedy up there with Sucker Punch.
What's interesting is that for most of D3's developement it had skill trees. Pretty late into it they brought in some WoW people and on their recommendation gutted several fully fleshed out game systems, skill trees included.
Diablo 3's skill and item designs don't get enough credit. With all the different skill mechanics and and item and rune modifications you could do some pretty creative things. It's just that the larger game systems create little incentive to access that depth in any way other than googling the current best build.
People are totally over-sensitive. For example: at being criticized for saying racist shit.
