Parts of Quebec and Ontario had mini baby booms after the massive '98 Ice Storm.

A National Childcare Plan!! Go back to Massachusetts pinko!

I don't know how true that is these days with Harper at the helm, but I suppose it could be far worse.

When I woke up and saw that on my Facebook, I initially thought it was a joke. Once I checked the CBC site and saw that it was real, I was genuinely shocked. Alberta is our most traditionally conservative province by far so to say that this was a massive change in the political tide is gross understatement.

Yeah that was unbelievably lame, even for him.

I always end up seeing it as Micheal Bubbly.

I'm not a big fan of most of his stuff, but can't help but like Micheal Buble's Christmas Album. Sure he can be really corny but that actually works (in carefully measured doses) for Christmas music.

Sounds fair. Plus, I'll throw in a good word for Great Lake Swimmers and The Once.

Gordon Lightfoot is a true national treasure.

That was beautiful.

Well that both encouraging yet discouraging to hear.
It always seems to be the very worst of top 40 trends that producers glom on too. I certainly don't mind country, or any other music I like, being influenced and taking cues from new sounds and styles (it's how a genre evolves and stays relevant) but I don't know

Not even Spider-Man could salvage this one.

Tina is a true hero.

It genuinely sucks to hear how downright terrible your school and administration were but, at the same time, at least you got some interesting stories out of the experience.

No offence taken at all. I was raised Catholic but I am actually more of an agnostic now. However, I also personally have no issues with religion or religious people as long as it isn't used as a blanket excuse to be awful to others or suppress ideas (sadly though, both these tend to be rather common).
