I don't believe I said "selfish coward" at all and I have been quite clear that the intent is not meant to be selfish, but the result is.

I am sorry, I didn't know Internet comments threads on a pop culture site were meant to help anyone. I thought we were just exchanging opinions and ideas. Please forgive me.

No worries!

Okay. Thanks!

Italians don't have quiet voices

They can think I am being that way, but that doesn't make them right. I have tried to present my POV in a nuanced reasonable way and have mostly been met with the same. Some choose to use coarse language and hysteria. They were not worthy of my time nor effort.

Most people don't, agreed. but some people seem to see it (shockingly!) as a viable way out and I don't agree with that.

I don't recall saying ALL suicides were selfish. And shame who? The dead people? The people who decided to check out? I am not shaming anyone. I am fine with the word I used. If you aren't, that's fine. We don't have to agree on everything.

No desire to demonize anyone. Just thinking of those he left behind. I can say he was misguided and his results have left a selfish consequence while also loving his work and missing him.

That seems right. And I am not looking to condemn him. Just pointing out that his family and children left behind might feel it is was a selfish act because he is gone and they are left picking up the pieces. I understand about the stigma of depression and mental illness, but it's okay for people to FEEL the

I don't think that is what "deluded" means?

And being not in your right mind is perfectly fine, so when I say they were acting selfishly, it's not a personal attack on them. They were NOT thinking clearly and coherently.

I think I can say it is a selfish result without saying they are a POS. There is a middle ground. Some people may not take it, but I do.

I don't know, maybe I am misreading, but I have seen some sentiments like that, mostly on twitter.

The people who think suicide is a legitimate way to deal with a problem are who I am referring to, in the abstract sense. I wasn't saying anyone here thought that. But they do exist and they do condone it.

That's funny, I think you are wrong and lack the ability to talk to someone who disagrees with you without turning into a petulant child.
So…I don't care what you have to say.

There is no objective reality bullshit here. The motivation does not matter: the consequence that results from the action is one of selfishness. You may THINK you are a burden, but you are NOT.
Therefore, you are WRONG in your perception and everyone else is left here to deal with the bullshit mess YOU made.
He didn't

But they are wrong. People who are wrong shouldn't get the benefit of the doubt by everyone quashing any disagreement with their distorted point of view.
I can understand WHY someone would feel that way. Doesn't mean how they choose to act is still correct.

Not for me. The SNES graphics stand the test of time while the polygons of FF VII look so dated.

Best in the series.
