Just saw this and well, if I saw this before the Walking Dead, I would probably stop watching. I'm really hoping the cast boasts some strong acting, but this episode didnt show it at all.

I think they called it the co-main event because Triple H and Steph wanted the credit for being equal, but they didn't want to put in the work. I think the females could have main evented, had they actually wanted to build the show about them.

Terrible ending to the PPV, but nothing else matters because the New Day are Tag Team Champions once again! I loved Bayley's match and title win, I thought the Vaudevillains proved that they finally were ready, and Seth Rollins pedigreed his way into the history books by becoming a double champion.

    yes

Sasha Banks vs Bayley was an incredible match. Really great storytelling, and a really captivating match. And definitely match of the night. Bayley knows her character well, and changed her facial reaction perfects to match her intensity. Sasha also brought her A game with her heel work, but like with the last match,

Definitely the best Corbin match. I remember saying that this was a do or die moment for Corbin, and he actually stepped up. Hell, that was also Joe's best showing in NXT thus far.

Well, when I started my comment it was about the lack of the physical aspect, but then I was rereading Daniel Bryan's book and the final paragraph of the last chapter intrigued me. Daniel Bryan, a successful wrestler by all accounts, was commenting on the merging of reality and fiction in the moment. It was fiction

I'm not sure what you are referring to by the internet age. Every major promoter in modern times talks about how wrestling was staged outside of the context of the show. Within the context of the show, however, everything is presented as real, much like how on TV shows dont mention they are TV shows unless the

I think this article delved into conceptually what makes the construction of reality by wrestling interesting, but not enough into how the physical aspect adds to that constructed reality. Which is the heart of why "You know it's fake" argument, makes no sense. Wrestling isn't fake. Trying falling 8 feet from a ladder

I think you are looking at the 1999 product from the wrestling centric 2015 lens, which does show how the product has evolved. But it fails to account what the 8 million or more were watching wrestling for at the time. They were watching it to see the characters cut promos and see them just be badasses as characters

Well, there are a few things. First of all, wrestling as a practice has evolved. It started as entertainment trying to trick people into believing it was a sport. This was before the 80s. Ever since then, the reason why people watch and the way story is told has evolved along with the audience. Bit by bit, the

Really great get for the WWE to have Jon Stewart host SummerSlam in New
York State as his first post Daily Show gig. This will really get them
    some network buys.

It was certainly a response and him being defensive, but not a great comeback.

All he said was no, because he had no response. It's an exaggeration to call it comeback.

I was thinking I would have him be GM of Smackdown much like Mick Foley. Bryan actually has a great sense of humor, and he's actually decent at improve judging from Team Hell No and Tough Enough. I'd imagine this would lead to a showdown with the Authority who runs Raw, but that seems less likely with the Authority

Yeah, I dont think he will be it for the next year, but beyond that I cant imagine Orton wont one day be WWE Champion once again. He's too good not to have it at least one more time.

He's only 34 and still outclassed two up and coming wrestlers tonight. He'll hold it again for sure.

Cesaro and Rollins was on TV on Smackdown a few weeks back, but it wasnt for the title I guess. I agree with your thinking though.

Orton's jab at his weight was hilarious. He had no comeback.

Naomi is terrible. She's sloppy in the ring and that's worse than being slow. Did you see her on Smackdown? (Actually that was a lot of women's faults). Brie looked great tonight as well. And Alicia as well as Nikki turn out good work.
