I'm assuming thats to be explained in a later episode. I'm guessing he did something bad in the missing year while Jeff was a lawyer and the rest went back to Greendale.

I think Annie got a degree but no the one she really wanted. On point with the other ones.
yeah, thats perfectly reasonable to some extent. But Annie specifically says shes getting back into forensic science and she bailed on it. Abed may have gotten his degree. Britta didnt get her psych degree. Troy still didnt have an exact major when we last left him. Shirley appears to have a business degree, but needs…
according to the other AV Club review entitled Community returns, they will explain and deal with it in a future episode.
That's what it seemed like to me. None of them are working in their respective fields. It sounds like they attended school after Jeff left while he was being a lawyer. Something happened during that year that led to them leaving as well as Greendale being in complete disarray. But that's just conjecture.
Well Chevy Chase left the show as a result of last year's showrunners. It seems he has patched things up somewhat with Dan Harmon to allow for this guest role. Which is awesome. But considering his falling out, I dont believe he will ever return for a regular role.
1) She was talking about the film Hellraiser. The important part is that she was connecting to him by film. Like Abed usually does.
2) According to show's timeline, two years have passed since season 3. Remember, season 4 was just one semester (fall) and this season starts off in winter. There is an entire year that…
no i dont think its a joke. I think it will be a plot point later in the season. season 4 definitely happened.
Yes. Technically according to the show's timeline, another year has passed when the other members of the study group were attending Greendale when Jeff had left. Thats what it sounds like to me. Remember, last season actually took over the course over fall winter (and least, thats how it was originally written). If…
I actually liked "Repilot" better than "Introduction to Teaching." But I have a certain love for pilot episode. The second episode felt really crammed together and moved a bit fast. But still both were really great.
He graduated along with Jeff, but it appears he cant return to Greendale for another reason yet to be revealed. So no, he didnt die last season.
A -, AV Club? Minuses are made up!
I checked out the pilot and this episode and I find the series somewhat disappointing. This plot especially in 2013. But I like the cast so overall I like the product. But if this wasnt a Bill Lawrence show, I probably wouldnt ever watch it again.
I think after HIMYM ends, people are going to come up with a condensed version of the series. Like the ones you need to watch and the ones you dont need to for the series continuity. I know I will.
30 Rock's last season was a lesson in how to wrap up all the plot points in the season (it even made Hazel kind of work!). The big takeaway I took from it is what if network television actually operated on 13 episodes? 22 episode seasons (or more) are not able to carry a strong narrative arc without a bunch filler. I…
yeah I was really hoping they were going in a different direction for season 9 where we saw more of the two together.
That was a really great episode. I just meant this season.
Yeah. The best part is the show is now it's like well oiled machine, surviving several generations of Adult Swim. Every episode is great and consistent and builds toward something.
yeah, the mother being a liberal makes perfect sense. I just hope she's a smart liberal so Ted can learn a little bit from her.
Venture Bros was awesome. I remember watching the season premiere and it was just a whole hour of greatness. I love what they did with Dean this year. Last season was Hank season, so it's good that this one focused on Dean.
