Yeah, gonna have to disagree with the notion that NoFX's "Kill Rock Stars" ended up being on the wrong side of history. Kathleen Hannah is a terrible person and a real-life Portlandia character

If the judgment holds up, I think Hogan can finally be forgiven for the main event finish of Starrcade 1997.

I don't know if it's still the case, since she hasn't done anything of note in at least ten years, but in the mid-90s Courtney Love definitely wanted to be the center of attention and controversy. She did interview after interview where she would slag off other musicians, say that they were obsessed with her, etc.

I don't care whether or not Cobain or Corgan actually wrote most of her good material, I liked a fair amount of her 1990s output. Some of it as not aged particularly well, but it was fine rock music. Celebrity Skin especially is underrated.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'd much prefer being stuck on a rock that's being paroled by a hungry shark than being trapped on a wooden raft that's being watched by a sentient and flesh-eating oil slick.

Lighten up, folks.

Please tell me that you spoke to him and he maintained the fake Russian accent. I need to believe this happened.

Don't forget hungry! You don't want to go searching for a woman trapped in an underwater car without a good breakfast. It's the responsible thing to do.

Someone never saw Alias…

Dusty Rhodes remains the best ingredient to a good wrestling/rap mash-up:

Yet David Marsh absolutely loved the Four Seasons. I mean, I agree with him on that one, but it's weird that a music critic for a leading music journal of the 1970s would hate Iggy & the Stooges but love Frankie Valli.

I am the biggest fanboy of Brock there can be, and think he is an awesome in-ring performer. But I totally agree that the style he has worked in recent matches is pretty rote.

Also, the version of "Louie, Louie" off of the Metallic K.O. semi-bootleg is my favorite version of that song ever.

Raw Power-era Iggy would've been a fine looking woman.

Noted this before I saw your thread, but Raw Power is one of the few instances where the remix is better than the original to my ears. The original is more unique sounding, but the remix sounds more powerful and, more importantly, you can actually hear instruments other than guitars!

Have you heard the remastered/remixed version from the late 1990s? Usually I hate remixed versions of classic albums, but this is the one example where it works. You can hear so much more of the instrumentation ("Penetration" is the most obvious example). I really like it.

Two comments:

Brock's mystique has already suffered greatly from the Wyatt family feud and the general problem of booking themselves in a corner with Brock. He's the biggest star on the roster other than perhaps Cena, but he can't win the belt because he is contracted for so few appearances. Ergo, they have to find ways to have

Everybody would like him more than they do. He was over huge when he beat Sheamus and KO'd Vince. He got less and less over every time he interacted with Triple H.

Triple H's interactions with Roman were nothing like his interactions with Bryan. He was playing total babyface during the beatdown a few weeks ago, including timing his punches so they'd be in unison with the crowd chanting "Yes" (a heel throws rabbit punches in rapid succession so the crowd can't cheer along),
