Award winning episode. Period.

There were several commercials for "Alone" where they said there will be new footage of the second half of the season shown on next Thursday's episode of "Alone". In the commercial you clearly see Lagertha battling with a new type of armor. She'll be back.

I think it all goes back to episode 9 with the bedroom scene with Rollo and Gisla. Rollo says "Don't under estimate your father". To me this implies that maybe Rollo was keenly aware of Roland's true intentions and had a little chat with the king privately. Or, maybe, Gisla said something to Chaz and got him to off

Ok. Bye-bye.

Bjorn had to choose between Ragnar and Lagertha. And he chose correctly.

I'll start with my only disappointment. There seems to have been NO justice (yet) for Aslaug's BS. Especially little Siggy. Bjorn obviously really didn't care about her either…
The Ragnar/Rollo dance was epic and I'm happy both survived. I have always been a Ragnar supporter but I was actually happy for Rollo when

That would be my guess…
Lagertha may not give birth to any more children but she has a family to raise back in Kattegat. She is the mother Ragnar's boys need and deserve. The whole little Siggy thing is bumming me out…

It's a 20 episode season (and season 5 will be also). They are basically taking a hiatus during the Game of Thrones season. Expect the second half of season 4 to begin once Thrones is over…

Well, for the first time in a while Hirst has me guessing about exactly what is going to happen in this mid-season finale. I'm not quite sure what direction he is going to take. But it certainly looks like it is going to a bitter confrontation between brothers. Rollo certainly has the upper hand this time around.

Well, my Sunday nights will be free again in the fall. No need to keep watching this show anymore. Too many tricks, no substance. They should also change the title of "Fear The Walking Dead" to "Bored to Tears of The Walking Dead"

I think Kwenthrith will be gone very soon. The big question becomes what will they do with Magnus?
The biggest problem Hirst has is the whole Lagertha/Aslaug thing. "History", or better, "Legend" has Aslaug as a much more important figure in Ragnar's life than Lagertha. And, yes, following along with the best known

Didn't know that about Meyers. That is awesome. Say what you will about The Tudors, he was outstanding. I don't think he will be sharing any scenes with Fimmel (based on the current story trajectory) but, boy, it would be epic to get a scene with him, Fimmel and Roache exchanging dialog!

It's only an unpopular position for a few. I have always said the true fate of Ragnar and most of his sons is in the still divided kingdoms of England. It is essential to the whole of the story. France is also. The real Rollo (and I'm assuming this fictional one also) is the beginning of the Normans and we all

Damn good episode but I don't think I have ever been more angry! I was yelling at my poor tv during the whole "battle" (massacre). Maybe, just maybe, Floki will come to Ragnar's rescue. The Yidu chick needs to go and no one knows herbal remedies better than Floki. It's getting harder to keep track but I think

Damn it. I'm reading this at work. Do you know how difficult it is to explain tears to your co-workers? Allergies, contact issues, etc. It is a finite list my friend.
One of the greatest scenes ever in the show.

My favorite parts were:
The return of Einar Selvig (Wardruna/Skuggsja) with his singing sendoff of the troops.
The mighty Ivar the Boneless propped up on a shield watching the ships leave the fjord.
Ragnar's vision. Brought a tear to my eye. He had a simple, good life. Sometimes we don't know how lucky we truly are.

Well, I was getting a little angry again with this episode. For a while there I felt like I was watching "Breaking Bad" meets "9 1/2 Weeks". I get the whole Ragnar/Yidu thing but a strung out Ragnar is not an effective Ragnar. He needs to get his head screwed back on tight or he is going to lose everything, not

Best of the season so far. Harald (Aslaug, Floki) v. Ragnar (Lagertha, Bjorn) should be epic.

My prediction…
Ragnar leaves to take care of Rollo, Ecbert, Aella, etc. Aslaug again gains control of Kattegat in his absence. One of two things happen. Harald Fairhair (Finehair in the show) tries to take Kattegat and Lagertha comes to the rescue or Aslaug goes rogue and Lagertha comes to the rescue. Anyway you

Time out. We're saying last week's episode jumped around too much and was boring but this week was just Vikings taking a breather?! "Mercy" jumped around as much, if not more than last week and was a snoozer for the most part.
A few things….
- Mr. Hirst, we now fully understand who is sleeping with each other. Enough
