Totally agree with you! Also, I've read, from those who believe the story was literal, that they think so because Nora had always been a skeptic. But what might make the 'not telling the literal truth' theory even more poignant would be that, despite all the times Nora scoffed at people's spiritual/supernatural

Maybe she's the contact Alma was talking about?

As pease says a couple of comments down, the scene of her in the pod cuts off at a point where it looks like she is about to say something (and I do think she said 'stop!' rather than just taking a deep breath, at least it very clearly seemed to be that when they showed it the first time).

There's been a lot of speculation as to Nick's motives for calling things off. He said she might end up on the wall which I think shows that it's more than jealousy. But even if they weren't caught and/or executed, realistically, how could they keep up a relationship? Presumably she'd be going off to another commander

Thanks!

Thank you!

Did anyone catch the exact line June said to Nick when he told her his name? I know I heard "under his eye" in there somewhere…

This makes me sad because I like William Hurt. On the other hand, as beautiful as he is to look at, Max Minghella is giving me nothing in the acting department. It was okay in the beginning, but wasn't this supposed to be his breakout episode? I did like that moment he had with June when putting on her coat, though.

Maybe I'm being optimistic, but isn't it possible he got in way over his head and actually feels remorse about everything he's now a part of, i.e. enslaving and torturing women? Like, when the commanders were talking about "the handmaid situation" in the car, he showed obvious alarm/concern. But then by the time he

SO. HAMMY.

I enjoyed the piano rendition of Where is My Mind, but that was already done by Mr Robot.

I noticed that too. I couldn't help but focus on it with both Nora and Kevin. This kind of thing works well when it's written and you're reading it in a novel, but not so much when you're hearing and watching it. People don't talk like that in real life. Specifically, all the "woulds" and "hads" kind of got me, e.g.

I saw it more as him simply being cruel/punishing her, because she thought she was manipulating him (by apologising), but he saw through it. I then interpreted her brushing her teeth as her feeling that she debased herself and needed to get "clean".

I agree. I actually felt quite disgusted when she kissed her like that - she is the one who oversaw her punishment, the very reason that Janine is "damaged" - it wasn't compassion, it was hypocrisy.

Thank you,
Agreed. Some of the comments on here are hilarious - they've given me a good chuckle over the years (not to sound like a creepy stalker or anything), but I like the serious stuff too. Looking forward to some great discussions. Hope to see you round : )

Ha! I never got into The Walking Dead. I did (and let's admit it, still do) love Buffy though!

Thanks Scrawler! : )

Hi! Thank you so much for the warm welcome : )

Hi everyone!
