the problem the Winter Games has is that there are very few events, 15 disciplines, 98 events, whereas the Summer Games features 26 sports and 300 events.
Maybe moving some endangered Summer Games like Wrestling and indoor games like Volleyball to winter would be wise.

If you are used to watching late night chat shows, NBC does show a late night show that usually has different events. For a couple of nights it was some sled events. Tonight featured the speed skating (I imagine the luge got bumped out of that slot because of the American medal)

I want to give this 1000 upvotes (talking about his announcing, not him as a person because he is super nice)

Old people like listening to Scott Hamilton.

I think they are forced to because the US aint winning a figure skating medal and are being blown out of the stronger events (the XGames type events) and those are the events NBC invested into putting into primetime

The luge medal IS a very big deal for the Americans because it was the first time EVER that the US medaled in luge, mens or womens. (previous high was 4th place)
So I didnt mind NBC pumping up the US in that case

I know very little about figure skating, but I enjoy listening to Weir/Lipinski

Craig Ferguson is my preferred late night chat show, but I can see why people dont like him. A lot of recycled jokes. A lot of sexual innuendo.

I watch The Mindy Project for the first time last week. It was OK and I laughed a few times (that whole scene with Jenna Elfman), but after the show was over I never said to myself 'gotta keep watching this'

upvote for The Job mention. I love that show
