I wish I could upvote this more than once. I was screaming at the screen (in my head; I was in a movie theater). It should be a crime to do that to such a classic story. But then I had the same reaction to the version of "Pride and Prejudice" (quotes intentional) with Keira Kinightly.

The one with Anthony Andrews, Ian McKellan and Jane Seymour's gigantic hair is better.

How did I miss this article when it was first posted?!

Ultra Woman, actually. It was great.

Could not agree more. In my house he is known as The ONLY Superman.

    This, exactly.

It will never go off the air. Not that that's a bad thing.

So nice to know I'm not the only one who does this.

He also never treated her like she should feel guilty for not wanting to sleep with him at a party (looking at you, Season 3 Jess). You are not alone.

Late to the party, but ALL the upvotes for your first two points. I am continually bewildered that no one brings up Jess's appalling treatment of Rory in the bedroom in Season 3.

She asks him to leave and tells him she doesn't want to date him anymore. He refuses to accept that their relationship is over. I don't hate him the way many people here seem to (and it's been a while since I watched that episode), but that was the point at which he started to make me uncomfortable.

    This, exactly.

Thank you. I find it interesting that all those who insist Jess is perfect—and yes, I concede that he did improve—seem to conveniently ignore his behavior toward Rory in the bedroom at the party in Season 3. That's not something you (should) forget.

    Add me to that list.

Disagree. I loved the the musical.

Oh, I didn't mean to brag. I was trying to say (maybe not very clearly) that I assumed it had more of a niche following and it wasn't universally known. Having read more of the comments now I realize I was wrong. My bad.

Every time I watch this I appreciate it more. Truly a highlight for me. On to the Tenth Doctor's audio adventures with Big Finish!

Not even a little bit. (Well, I can't speak to the sequel as I haven't seen it. But regarding Grease, no.)

I was far more disturbed by her run in Fiddler on the Roof.

    Bite your tongue.
