I am just now watching Parenthood for the first time and I am STILL angry that Go On was never released on DVD (yes I still buy them). Well, and that it was cancelled in the first place.

Though I've never thought of it in those terms, I believe you've just articulated why I love all four shows.

I just watched this episode and am unfamiliar with Dawes but will now proceed to YouTube to see what all the fuss is about.

Seconded. Also they had better get the library right, and by "right" I mean "spectacular".

I am genuinely curious how many people connected to this reference…

    Could not agree more.

    One of the best.

The finale was almost universally hated, so much so that the creators included an alternate ending on the DVD set. In my opinion it didn't solve all the issues (Barney and Robin's divorce, for example) but at least it ends with Ted and Tracy together and no suggestion of him and Robin anywhere near each other.

I actually thought I might make it through this one with no tears…and then Kevin ditched his Broadway debut to console Randall.

Can we please keep hope alive?

Clearly I'm in the minority, but this episode is a season low for me. Maybe a series low.

I did not care for much of the recap (if the writer seriously believes anyone thought Matt would force himself on Julie she understands nothing about his character) but the Mrs. Landingham line was perfectly placed.

Her response to the idiotic "if your husband really loved you" line made me want to stand up and cheer.

    Bite your tongue.

Yes it's been years, but I'm doing a rewatch and since no one seems to have mentioned it…Buddy refers to himself as INTERNAL, not infernal. It's a response to Coach dodging his questions about Smash by saying it is an internal matter.

Well, now I've got to go watch the Veronica Mars episode guest starring Logan from Gilmore girls…

It certainly would have been better than Fake Tristin (pretty sure that's how the show spells his name, though it makes no earthly sense to me).

I am really hoping this is released on DVD with the full musical as a deleted scene. I laughed so hard I cried.

    2017!
