I've heard the Beggar called the "Butt Genie," but I like the piracy aspect… maybe he is after "booty"? I get what you mean about the overall off-the-wallness of the MOTW, but it's still all so repulsive and borderline xenophobic that it does nothing to redeem the episode for me. It's been a while, though, and I

If "Fight Club" gets the gentleman's F, then I sure hope "Badlaa" gets an honest-to-goodness failing grade next season.

Yeah, cast-written episodes like "Hollywood AD" (which I will continue to defend without shame) and "all things" feel like passion projects, however misguided . "Fight Club" just feels soulless.

Of all the cast-written eps, I'd say "all things" is the weakest—which is a real shame because it also seems to be the most personal.

I generally think Season 7 is pretty underrated, but man, there's no defending "First Person Shooter." It's probably the worst moment of the pre-Season-9 X-Files… at least until "Fight Club." *shudder*

I think Samantha's ultimate fate was one of the braver decisions the show made in its latter years. Making the resolution of her plot more thematically linked to the fears of "Paper Hearts" than to anything from the alien mythology did a great job of puncturing Mulder's quest for extraterrestrials. The abuse of

The Internet told Max that he would be seeing girls in a "new and exciting way." Thank goodness that was all the Internet told him.

You aren't alone. If I remember right, George Costanza didn't like HA2 either.

I love me some good ol' Parenthood sap, but man, did this episode push my boundaries at times.

You know, I really think season 7 is pretty underrated. "Je Souhaite," "Hungry," "Hollywood A.D.," and a few others are among the best episodes of the show's latter years, and "Requiem" is probably the best mythology episode since sometime in season 5. To be sure, it also has some of the worst episodes of the series

The "Biogenesis"/"Sixth Extinction" three-parter is hands-down my least-favorite section of the mythology until Season 9 rolls around. The plot goes nowhere, the presentation is overly portentous, and the Mulder-as-messiah affectations are ridiculous.

Still no love for Babe?

Still no love for Babe?

Babe may be the most perfect movie ever made. Probably.

Boy, you've got a high tolerance for Walt. The point of no return for me was when he let Jane choke on her own vomit back in season 2.
