The College Football Playoff ratings were horrible compared to last year. Last year the two games were 15.5 & 15.3 for games played on a traditional college football day of January 1st. All those Jimmy Kimmel commercials on ESPN about changing your New Year's Eve plans generated ratings of 9.9 & 9.7.
