I don't mind it. I think it's not perfect, but it had the potential to lay the groundwork for some major changes that would've been good. They didn't go in that direction, though, so it tends to get lumped in with the final 3-to-4-season downslide.

I wouldn't really call it an argument, per se. But yeah, there are a lot of people out there who think Season 9 was mostly terrible. I know some people loved it (Donna Bowman included), but it is far from universally liked.

Then I guess you must run into a whole lot of people who are wrong about that. Or you've never discussed the show with anyone else online.
