Makes sense to me. The stakes are way higher.

I feel guilty, though, like I'm being elitist or something. Although you'd expect writers on this site (and others) to conform to a style guide, at the very least.

Calm down? Why do you think I'm not calm? If it's any consolation, I'm completely calm and was never *not* calm, lol.

Ha ha, dammit, well played. I only wanted to get the party started. :)

"Everything they thought was there’s belongs to a man named Negan."

Ha, true, but for me, I further lose track of his arguments when he abandons basic English. And I know I'm an outlier, given my profession (editor), yet I sure wish he could have articulated his response to this episode more accurately in that sense.

What I'm trying to say is that when you write this badly, you lose any authority you might want to have, which is truly unfortunate, since you probably have some damn fine points to make (that are eroded by the ongoing errors).

Sorry. I know. But who let's this stuff go? Where are the copyeditors, you know?

I genuinely hate to to be "that guy," but this review is damn near illiterate.

Or that shuddering is spelled with Ds not Ts, no matter how much your accent might suggest otherwise.

Makes me feel happy. :)

Well, that's a tenable belief, but unfortunately wrong. ;)

FFS, I get the sentiment, but are we really at the point where we're *counting*?

Agreed. This is poorly edited.

Right, a retelling. I only read that story quite recently and noticed the similarity. I do have to say Bierce is a far better writer. Then again, could Bierce write songs as well as New Order? ;)

As much as I adore the song "Love Vigilantes," the lyrics are utterly ludicrous. That said, Barney's clunky lyrics are part of the band's charm.

*Excruciating. Where my copyeditors at?

I edit fiction for a living, and it's a common problem, especially with newer writers. Which is especially weird given the overall quality of the writing in this show. Could it be a Southern thing?

Plus, his most famous work has the word jest in the title.

Oh, hadn't realised that. Wow, so as far as Hannibal is concerned, we Canadians are in the future now? :)
