There's been a lot of Damon fan servicing this season (with Stefan, Alaric, Elena, Jeremy, now Liz). It's what fans of Damon relationships have always asked for. So there's only 3 options:

Well, Enzo rammed Matt in the tunnel in this episode. That's a good storyline.
And tease people with the cure.
"Fuck this show already. Fuck it."
…thank you!
Well, having him mind raped twice was a very sisterly thing to do.
I've posted elsewhere that the "art school" should've been in New Orleans. He deserves it.
You're kidding me? I'm so here for Baby Salvatores in period drag. I can only hope for terrible wigs, pancake make up and collapsible sets.
What's with this comment section and the Disney Channel morality standards today? Not a single dirty joke.
Do they solve the mystery in those 5 minutes or do we get teased with just one for the whole season? If it's the latter, I want them dead right now.
See? You're passing Kai around too. There's no stopping this.
Apparently. To be fair, there's also Kai-Elena, so… Kai gets passed around a lot?
Oh, I get you about Steroline - I'm usually unaffected by the romance stuff on TVD, but this episode I felt like that "forced ship" gif going around - "Now, kiss! *forces heads together*" Are those early warning signs or was their chemistry just that good?
The ship baiting is at batsh!t crazy levels. I absolutely love the whole Delena development for it - the writers usually manage to bait Delena shippers, annoy anti-Delena people, simultaneously add cheese and parody, throw in some Bamon teasing and occasionally even brush against actually interesting ideas and…
To your last paragraph - yes. I found myself thinking the same thing after this episode - could Tyler have actually become (slightly) interesting?
This show IS evil. I still can't decide how much of it is intentional, accidental or a projection of a collective mental disorder of the writers.
That was my complaint about Kai - Damon did it better in season 1, even if a lot of that came from being set off against the then peaceful world.
The romantic stuff used to be mind-numbing for me too, until I realized the full extent of ship baiting going on on this show. Now it's hilarious.
True, that. She should run around more often.
