I agree that the Schmidt trajectory this season is bizarre. He is becoming hateful. This storyline was a total bust for him, and he wasn't that great in season 2 either.

Anyone expecting a intellectual experience from a 100 million plus budget blockbuster starring Sandra Bullock is probably not very realistic.
I actually thought Lost got less sci-fi and more straight-up fantasy in the last two seasons. Sure, there was time-travel, but things got more and more dependent on supernatural elements.
But the thing is, I didn't read this as lukewarm. It only feels lukewarm compared to the rest. If this was a review for any other film this year, it would look much more positive. I have no problems with the grade or Dowd's opinion on it (i found it quite fair, sight unseen of course), but it's exciting a B+ is the…
Time-traveling werewolves is all you need for a great picture.
And the weird thing is this will be the lowest grade on Metacritic.
Do mind. Something to see there.
As much as people like to believe hollywood writers wouldn't know Godard, they do, it's near impossible to be an actual mistake instead of a joke on purpose.
I found the trailer for this completely awful, and it's too bad Victor Fresco is stuck doing stuff like this, but I gotta admit I laughed with Thomas Lennon in that preview. It's such an odd character for a show like this.
I'll watch it out of loyalty/grief for Bitch 23! You go, Eric Andre!
It does feel like a waste to spend an entire season setting something up, and when it finally happens, they have Schmidt ruining it within a few episodes. It tells me the writers thought about what New Girl would've been with two couples, and thought it was too much pressure on the show, so they decided to do the more…
That line was perfect. Nick and Jess make up for Schmidt being terrible all the time this season. I laughed so loud at that end tag, and that line specifically.
He is douchy, but generally a good guy. This clueless asshole direction they are taking him this season is recent, and shows they are losing control of the delicate balance needed for the character and that they simply don't know what to do with him.

I loved, loved that scene of Peralta eating the sandwich and Scully with the orange feet at the table:
I loved that as well, and it made me sympathize with her.
Terry Crews is fantastic! I love the man, he is always funny and likable, no matter what.
The mistake was clearly in purpose as a character bit. Because his married and open to new things, Terry likes foreign films. Because he is still a cop and a rather simple guy, he gets the director wrong because even though he loves the film he doesn't really understand or know anything about films.
Winston is not much of a character and not very interesting on his own.
It's funny because it's gay!
