I disagree with this because a lot of coming of age stories have to do with dealing with your sexuality, and you can't simply transfer the straight adolescent experience to a gay context.

Pedowitz is such an internet name, I have trouble taking it seriously.
I don't get the comparison either and I don't think it's fair. The Americans, while a highly entertaining and intelligent fun show, is clearly aiming for just that. Homeland is ambitious and more intricate, so is prone to ups and downs. And really, we already had a season of Homeland was all slow burning build and…
I think that title doesn't mean much. It's probably just an anagram for "Finale", really.
Sherlock died on the way to his home planet.
DON'T BELIEVE HIS LARS!
Hannibal is the new Community?
I don't like Korine, so I'm avoiding watching Spring Breakers, but I have to admit I had plans to never watch it at all until I heard about the "Everytime" scene. Partly because the idea behind is surprisingly interesting, and partly because I just can't help that I love Britney.
"putting up with"? I love them!
I tried it. I didn't like it.

WTF? WHY IS THE AV CLUB TROLLING FOR PAGE VIEWS? A Bunheads notification isn't funny.
Million Dollar Baby was not better than The Aviator, but it was close enough. And both were certainly better than Sideways and Finding Neverland (????).
I don't think it's true Beauty & The Beast had more cultural impact. You have Silence Of The Lambs copycats to this day, but Beauty & The Beast didn't really change animation or anything, it was just immensely popular. I do agree it's better film, but I don't think it had more impact on filmmaking and pop culture.
I prefer The Apartment, and while I love The Godfather, it might not even be close.
But it shouldn't be about fucking Batman! It should be about Superman and Clark. The fact we get a crossover film before one with Clark Kent as a prominent character is ridiculous. The only reason this is happening is because DC wants to catch up to Marvel as fast as possible. But it's a shitty decision.
I missed the part where that is supposed to be a good thing.
Matthew Fox hasn't been working, but ti's silly to say he vanished. He had a pretty memorable character in a beloved show for years, and it's likely to find a show in a few years, just like he always does.
I remember that Time of Your life show. I remember I did like it. It started sorta bad, but it starts improving once Sarah breaks up with Bailey. I remember the episode she turns 21 to be pretty good actually. But I had a different taste back then, so maybe it's coloring my perception of its actual quality.
