I'm kinda pissed that the show has made Eugene into a stalker that was responsible for blowing off the head of his crush. In the comics, he is simply a confused kid who was abused (at least emotional) by his horrible father that decided to make a suicide pact with his best friend once they found out their idol Kurt

Thank you for getting back on track, Zack! This was a great review that touched upon all the same concerns I have for this show as well, and I think I know the reason things feel so disjointed: it's trying to be a mystery when the actual comic was completely straightforward and upfront from the start as to what the

Nope, it wasn't a flashback at the end, and shame on the normally stellar Zack Handlen for not picking up on that nor offering a correction or update. Since he read the comic, he should know exactly who these two "men" are and what they are doing, though admittedly they have changed from the comic. All I'll say is

It seems obvious to me that they are planning on setting up the Flashpoint storyline that launched the (terrible, horrible, and thankfully, now-former) New 52 by having Barry save his mom. This should actually be a good thing narrative-wise for next season because it appears to set up two things: the "sideways"

"I’ve been avoiding talking about Hive’s “real face,” because honestly, it was kind of silly. Whereas Lash’s look was slowly improved over time with a combination of CGI and makeup, the reveal of the face that had previously been teased as so unexpected and threatening was a bummer, and looked rather like something

Argus only has six employees now. Amanda Waller was killed so WB wouldn't "confuse" any viewers with Viola Davis' completely different movie version.

I remember the Firestorm introduction episodes of The Flash last season that had a nuclear device explode in a town that neighbored Central City and thought the show did a good job of conveying the stakes and sense of importance over that event, even if the next episode had Firestorm "simply" absorb all the radiation

When has anyone blaming him had any real facts to back up their "claims"?

No, that would been William Sadler's President Ellis, who we saw in Iron Man 3 and several eps of Agents of SHIELD this season.

Boy, does Powerless sound like a stupid, unsustainable gimmick. Rember that episode of Agents of SHIELD that followed Thor: The Dark World that everyone thought would tie-in to the movie somehow, but instead just had the agents doing boring clean-up duty for the mess left behind in England after the film's final

… to Heaven?

Created by Ben Silverman.

I hope everyone understands that we will NEVER stop getting movie after movie after movie made about iconic characters from the "public domain". It's why we're getting a Tarzan film nobody asked for to go along with another Pan prequel.

The last paragraph of this "review" was pure nonsensical garbage.

Why don't you gentlemen have a Pepsi?

Which nation?

ONCE AGAIN, The AV Club embarrasses itself with a pathetic grade for a superior show.

"So, they, brought him here, or Wells brought him here."
"The other Wells."
"Right, the Wells who was actually Thawne."
"Eobard, not Eddie…. it's… it's complicated."

The problem isn't that this season of Daredevil isn't above criticism (I personally loved it despite its many obvious problems/flasws), but that the VAST majority of shows on this site routinely receive a grade of "B" or above despite the fact that most sff on TV simply isn't that great, even when graded on a curve.

Did you know that the best shows on TV are The Mindy Project and The Grinder? It's true! That's why AV Club ALWAYS gives these shows an "A" while low-budget, poorly acted, and unoriginal crap like Daredevil deserves to get a "D".
