also Year One.

I'm a long time comics fan and I think Morrison's run is best read with some kind of annotations online.

Batman: The Animated Series is the best primer for anyone even remotely interested in the character, and will prepare you for pretty much anything in the comics. (Oh, and Year One.)

You could probably find some annotations somewhere.

Those are some of my prized possessions. I need to get the Kirby FF vol. 3 omnibus ASAP.

Really? That 4-issue story drawn by David Mack got me back into collecting superhero comics. I have to admit I haven't read it in a while though.

Ugh. This is gross.

I know what you're saying but I still enjoy them and have no delusions that any of them are to be taken seriously. I compare my love for them to my love for B-grade Science Fiction films such as The Incredible Shrinking Man, shown above. I don't understand this need for comics to seen as great art by some of the

I have this and every other Treasures set as well. Also, the True-Life Adventures sets. I'm not sure if I am a true Disney fanatic though. I am highly skeptical of anything made after Walt's death. There is the story of the time Ford flew in supplies during an especially hard winter to some tribe that worked with him so they wouldn't starve to death. I am not sure how true it is though.

I thought that was going to be really tedious but by the time it cut back to him going "uhhh…" and it looked like he was trying to make up some more I was dying.

They should have been switched.

I agree. Also, I don't know why they insist he be in high school so much. When I was a kid, I looked up to and related to people in college (in pop culture and in real life) just fine. I read a lot of those issues between the ages of 6 and 12.

Ultimate Peter Parker was pretty good because it had been modernized and was a little more cinematic, but I much prefer the original issues from the 60s and 70s. Yeah, they read a little clunky today but that's Peter Parker to me.

Maybe it's like a precursor to Drunk History… (Not the being drunk part, but the historical person being played by someone else part)
